Earthly Happiness is False Joy and Nothing but an Illusion

Many people love to boast about the things that they have which everyone seeks after but do not have, whatever it may be. They boast and their boasting makes people feel uncomfortable, upset or envious. The reason people feel that way is because people not only seek after earthly happiness.  Earthly happiness is that which people find security. People derive their earthly happiness from not only the earthly temporal things they have, but also their security. That is why people feel uncomfortable, upset or covetous when seeing others also have what they have and find their security in. The earthly happiness people have is not true joy. Why Seeking Money will Lead to Many Sorrows

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. (1 Timothy 6:9-11) The Word of God makes it clear that those who seek money will pierce themselves with many sorrows. The question is what does it mean to seek money, and why is it that doing so will lead to many sorrows.  To seek money is not to be equated with working, and working is not to be equated with seeking money.
