We live in treacherous times and dark days, and such times are made more obvious by the rise of so-called “christian” erotica. As shocking as this may sound, it is becoming increasingly normalised and justified, all by the use of Scripture among professing Christians. Those who oppose “christian” erotica, which is really just a euphemism for pornography, on Scriptural grounds, are not only accused by professing Christians who support “christian” erotica as legalistic, pharisaic, righteous, narrow-minded, or holier-than-thou, but perverted, exhibiting a false sense of godliness and oppressive.   The rise of “christian” erotica is far more dangerous and of far greater significance than the obvious reason that erotica is perverse and that Scriptures are being twisted to justify such perversion. Many people in the modern world are starting to oppose pornography, at least in lip service.  The 21 st century secular anti-pornography movement is gaining grounds, as a formidable enemy of the pornography industry. However, it is also the enemy of another: the Church. The secular anti-pornography movement, through the propagation of its humanistic doctrines, is an active enemy of the Church which undermines and attacks her spiritual authority given by God to her. The secular anti-pornography movement is not wholesome or righteous to even the slightest extent. Rather, it is an evil, demonic, sensual movement which calls good evil, and evil good. The secular people fighting pornography and prostitution are seeking to fight these evils, on the grounds of their consequences. The unrighteous and evil fighting unrighteousness and evil. Is this really the case? ‘Prostitution’ is often thought of as a political issue, one that concerns personal interests and what is perceived to be ‘equality’. However, very rarely do people think about the morality and ethics of prostitution. The morality and ethics of prostitution with respect to ‘prostitution’ legislation is one has been politicised.
