Mammon is literally behind all evils

I've been accused of being unspiritual by many Christians indirectly for speaking out against mammon. Speaking against mammon is not unspiritual. In fact, it is very spiritual to do so. The spirit of mammon is behind all evils.  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10).  One might argue that it is one that one is saying it is unspiritual to speak about mammon, but that it is unspiritual to attribute mammon to all evils. This shows a lack of understanding by many in the modern church. Mammon is literally the spirit who drives, tempts and enslaves people into all kinds of evils!  What drives prostitution apart from sexual lusts? What drives the abortion industry apart from sexual immorality? What drives the pornography industry apart from sexual lusts? What drives conflicts between different nations, the battle of the sexes and raci...

Proposing to and courting with the world, adultery against God

Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.  Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever (Ezra 9:11:12). The modern church is one that seeks the world's approval. It courts with it. This is adultery against God - spiritual adultery. We the church are angered at adultery of the world against their spouses, but what about adultery against God, He who created you, loved you first and died for you while you were still His enemy? Is not adultery against God even more serious, deserving of greater justice? James 4:4 makes it clear that whoever seeks t...

Losing your first love is to succumb to mammon

Christians who deny that there is an evil spirit behind blindness to sin, whether in the unsaved or the true Christian need to read 1 John 4:1-3: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. A church that succumbs to mammon, and therefore are under his influence, is one that is made weak, ineffective to God. It is useless to God. This is because it has lost its first love for God like the church of Ephesus in Revelation 2:1-7: Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst ...

How to counter attacks on Christians by secularists

Know this: Secular people (in the typical sense of the term) are mean, judgmental, hateful of "religious" people (ie. Christians), happy to support non-Christian religious people  because of their anti-christ spirit, intolerant, though thinking they are tolerant. They are hypocritical, immoral, proud, arrogant, boastful, self-centred, sexually immoral (of course), disobedient to parents, dishonest, slanderous of Christians. They are narrow-minded themselves, while accusing others of being narrow minded, and of course, content with their riches, self-satisfied and smug. They are presumptuous, and think they know everything; argumentative about theology while knowing nothing, NOTHING about theology and twisting it. They are the worst group of people because of their sexual immorality and celebration of it - one of the most serious sins. Moreover, they love to lie about sexuality and how moral it is to be sexually immoral.

From Jeremiah Cry speech

"You will never hear God’s heralds of yesterday or today ask, “Can we all get along?” What you will see are men who rule their emotions, not men who are ruled by their emotions. You will see chivalrous men who defend and protect women, not men who act like women—not men who stand behind women, not men who are afraid of women. You  will see men who speak with authority—an authority given to them by God—the authority that comes with their God-given gender-specific role as men and the authority that comes with the role of a herald of the King. "I believe, with all my heart, one of the reasons why a vast majority of American Evangelicalism is against open-air preaching is this. American Evangelicalism is effeminate. Weak and compromised churches are producing weak and compromised men. Men considered men of God these days by American Evangelicalism are men who do not command respect, but who beg for acceptance. They are not men who stand firm, but instead are often men who c...

Beware of falling into the trap of trying to serve God and mammon

One of the most defining characteristics of false teachers is that they all seek only after their physical earthly needs, not to say, wealth. This is literally that indicates hostility against God. Indeed, false teachers may be religious, spiritual, humanitarian or even moral. How can they be a false teacher, you may ask.  The Bible does not say no one seeks after religion, spirituality or even a deity to worship. It says that no one seeks after God (Romans 3:11). Jesus said that humans by nature love darkness, that is, evil:   Light  has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.   Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed (John 3:19-20). Just as Adam and Eve ran away from God and wanted to hide from Him after they sinned, all their descendants, which includes you and me, have turned away from God (Genesis 3:8). Beware of teachers ...

Is the phrase 'under the spirit of' unbiblical?

Many Christians have asked whether the phrase 'under the spirit of' is Biblical. This phrase is not coined by me, but rather one that has been used by many Christians including the great preacher Derek Prince. Some have thought that claiming a Christian is under the spirit of mammon is to say that he is demon-possessed. This is not true at all. Rather, the word demon-possessed is translated from  daimonízomai which means to be demonised. The more accurate term would be demonised, not demon-possessed. Demonised means to be under the control of a demonic spirit.  The Christian does struggle with sin and is tempted by satan and his demons who try to distract, tempt or oppress him.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high  places (Ephesians 6:12). Demons are active in this world and attempt to attack Christians the most because they d...

Hatred of the world

“So ‘despising the shame;’ does that mean I am to hate the shame the world heaps on me. I don't understand how I would do that.” Caroline Lee The world hates the godly for the same reason criminals hate the police. They look at officers of the law with scorn. The world not only hates us for our stand for morality (the moral Law), but it casts extra scorn upon us because we have a contemptible childlike faith in God (“You believe all those silly Bible stories!”). This is called "the reproach of Christ.” But just as a good police officer ignores the scorn of lawbreakers, and wears his badge with pride, we couldn't care less that the world despises the label “Christian” and looks upon Jesus Christ with the utmost hatred and contempt. We wear that shame as a badge of honor, knowing that the day is coming when we will be vindicated and that shame will turn to unspeakable and everlasting joy. The Modern Doctrine of Offensiveness

Many people like to claim offence today whenever they feel upset or angry about something another has told them. They like to let people know they are offended and expect people to stop ‘offending’ them. Such is the individualistic thinking that has swept the modern church today. The modern church thinks that as long as one is not offended in the ‘politically correct’ sense, it has a “right” to claim offence. Such is unbiblical thing as there is no such thing as a “right”. It likes to assume that where someone has told someone within the church not to do something, it is because they are “offended” and do not like to be criticised. This is the presumptuousness that many of the modern church hold. I have told someone that if he feels offended by what I write, he should just stop reading it. He assumes it is because I am “offended” at him for potential criticisms, and accuses me of criticising him for doing this, and therefore accusing me of being “hypocritical”. No. Rather, it ...

Mockery and Ridicule

A person sent us a link to his or her blog which had pictures with a titles that said "this is your life" and "this is your god". The picture below the heading "This is your life" was one of a bloodied body. The picture below the heading "this is your god"was that of the 12 disciples with a goat-headed being, representing satan obviously.  We are thankful we received such mockery and ridicule. It means that satan and mammon are angry at us for exposing them. GLORY BE TO LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!!!

Doing the will of humanity is to Serve satan

The west has been credited for democracy, and the rest of the world has envied the west for its democracy. What could be better, the freedom to choose the laws one finds desirable, and economic freedom? "How could democracy be evil?" one would think. Indeed, such is the thinking of most people, both Christians and the unsaved. Ephesians 6:12 makes it clear that " we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places ". We are not fighting people, whether communists, socialists, liberalists, feminists, homosexualists, terrorists, Islamists, Jews or any other human when fighting evil. We are fighting demons, real persons without a body. We are fighting satan. However, satan indeed uses those who he owns to wage war against true Christians.  The Bible throughout the Old Testament and New Testament has represented government as unrighteous and ...

Mammon works through Selfish Ambition

Most people have selfish ambitions lurking about in their hearts, but yet not consider themselves to have such selfish ambitions. Selfish ambition is an act of the flesh (Galatians 5:20). It is not merely a motive, but an act. 'Selfish ambition' comes from the Greek word ' eritheia' which means   acting for one's  own gain , regardless of the discord (strife) it causes or  placing self-interest ahead of what  the Lord   declares right, or what is good for others.  Selfish ambition is self-seeking aspirations that one has for oneself. As long as one seeks place one's interests before others. It is the selfishness that makes it a despicable sin. No matter how small the ambition may be, or how good the interests may be, as long as one is pursuing it for oneself, and not God, one is serving mammon.  Mammon works through the lust of the eyes and flesh, legitimising one's pursuit of anything that is earthly including so-called 'basic needs'. It is v...

Mammon works through Idolatry of One's Flesh

Mammon is so pervasive and deceptive that people under it think that requesting one's 'rights' to be respected is something basic and legitimate. That is exactly what the spirit of mammon wants people to think: that they have entitlements to things they perceive to need or want. As a result, it causes people to stop fully trusting that God will provide, and rely on one's human strength.  People under the spirit of mammon are deceived into thinking that there is nothing wrong with desire for earthly things, things of the world. Christians who are under the spirit of mammon justify this desire despite Jesus saying " what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world" (Mark 8:36), that God wants us to have our basic needs. While God does provide and His providence is enough, this is stated in a way by mammonised Christians to justify their lust for things of the world.  God does provide, but He does not have. Mammonised Christians treat God ...

Elevating Earthly Security above the Eternal

Many Christians, when confronted with the truth that capitalism is materialistic and demonic, are quick to point out that communism is materialistic. Indeed, communism is materialistic, but so is capitalism, if not more so.  In the capitalistic framework, gain in the material is an end in and of itself. Such gain in to be enjoyed as one sees fit for oneself. This is in contrast to the Christian framework that gain in the material are not ends in themselves, but means to an ends.  These ends is are that which is to ultimately serve God and others to obey the Two Greatest Commandments from Jesus: " Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself " (Luke 10:27).  The capitalistic framework, consistent with its goal of achieving all the things of this world sees work or labour as a means to an ends, rather than as ends in themselves. Work is drudge, and a means of ...

What Exactly is the Spirit of Mammon?

"Why do you emphasise the spirit of mammon?" "Why do you not talk about anything else?"  These are very common questions I have been asked. Indeed, they are good questions.  The spirit of mammon is behind everything opposed to God. Jesus Himself said that " No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money " (Matthew 6:24). But, you may say, there is no 'spirit of mammon'.  Ephesians 6:12 tell us that we fight against principalities and powers. These are spiritual forces of darkness from satan: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood , but against principalities, against powers , against the rulers of the darkness of this world , against s piritual wickedness in high  places . Mammon is a spirit from satan that tempts people to live an earthly life, focusing only on earthly things. Earthly things are not necessarily...

Response to an Inquirer about 'Money is Filthy Lucre'

The following is Anti Mammon Conquerors' response to an inquirer about our post Money is Filthy Lucre . The comments from the person is in purple. Our response is interspersed between the paragraphs in purple text. We have decided to publish it to clarify for our readers what is meant by the spirit of mammon and why money is a danger to the soul. [It’s good that you explain what you mean by ‘the spirit of mammon’, this was something I was wondering about – though I’d like to ask, where do you find that in the Bible? ] Have you read Ephesians 6:12 “ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places ”? The Christian is a soldier in a spiritual battle. 1 John 2:15-17 makes it clear that that from the world and that from God are diametrically opposed to each other. It lists everything in the world: the lust of the flesh,   the lust of the eyes, ...
