Why Many Who Try to Enter The Narrow Gate CANNOT Enter

Jesus told people to " Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able " (L uke 13:24). This teaching of Jesus is truly a frightening one. He said that many of those who professing to follow Him will not be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. When they knock on the door, asking Him to open the door to them, and expecting Him to welcome them, only to find out that He tells them to depart for they are workers of iniquity: When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. (Luke 13:25-27). This is truly frightening.  ...

Following Christ requires Total and Absolute Self-Denial, with No Exceptions or Qualifications

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:28-33) The Christian faith is a faith of self-denial, with no exceptions or qualifications. Some may say that this is to promote "asceticism", as a cunning ruse to justify their pleasure-seeking and treasure-seeking ways. They accuse all those who promote sel...

What serving the spirit of mammon involves

Serving the spirit of mammon involves living after the lusts of the flesh: selfish lusts and ambitions. A true Christian cannot be serving mammon, or else he is not a true Christian. However, he can be seduced by him, just as the character Christian was seduced by Mr Wordly Wiseman in Pilgrim's Progress to seek an easier life.  This  I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

Striving through the Narrow Gate means to Shun All Treasure on Earth: There are no exceptions

Mammon has a way of causing conflict and war. He is very cunning and deceptive in doing so. He is behind all conflict, war, dissention and hatred. He does this for a very key reason - to cause people to feel more envy and jealousy, holding them to even greater bondage to serving him or yielding to his temptation. The last thing he wants people to know is that his aim is to deceive people into thinking that their perceived earthly needs are legitimate, making them enslaved to pursuing the earthly rather than the heavenly treasure. This is especially the case with the Christians. Mammon wants Christians to think they are striving for the heavenly treasure when they are in fact striving for earthly treasure. Jesus commanded: " Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor st...

Warning: Fornicators, Liars, Heretics, Homosexuals, Extortioners, Abortionists, Idolators, God-haters and all other guilty sinners

WARNING: Abortionists, pornographers, harlots, fornicators, adulterers, idolaters, disobedient children, church gossips, liars, thieves, God-haters, extortionists, usurers, heretics, abusers, drug addicts, drug dealers, sirens, and witches. You are HEADED FOR HELL. Such a message on a street preaching sign is one that people seem to always remember. A journalist on the Australian Broadcasting Channel asked two street preaching brothers from Street Church, whether displaying the sign with the list of sins was not judging . As a secular person, he could not be expected to understand what the Bible really means by ‘judging’ and ‘warning’ because such people are spiritually blind. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know   them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).  The sign with the list of sins is unpleasant, offensive and abominable to the unsaved indeed. It is the...

The World's Favourite Sin

Have you ever wondered what the world’s most favourite sin is? Many may think it is homosexuality. Others may think it is pornography. Yet, some may think it is fornication. Certainly, these are some of the favourite sins of the modern western society. However, there is one sin that encompasses these sins. This sin is the sin of idolatry. Many think they are too “sophisticated” to bow down to wooden images or worship animals. However, idolatry is not just limited to that. Idolatry is to give worth to anything above God. It is to break the First of the Ten Commandment by not seeking God. Creating a false image of God is to break the Second of the Ten Commandments, whether it be thinking that God is forgiving only, and that He will not punish sin, or thinking that He does not hate sin and is not angry at the wicked every day. The unsaved are all idolaters whether they acknowledge it or not. They are all God-haters. As it is written: None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands...

Hating mammon, Loving God is a Must on the Narrow Path to the Narrow Gate

No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62). This means that as long as one's heart is even the slightest bit in the world, mammon or the flesh, or in anything against God, one is NOT fit for the Kingdom of God.  Make sure you all watch this sermon: Remember Lot's Wife

May Your Money Perish With Thee!

Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.   Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee  (Acts 8:20-23). Such is the the rebuke of Simon by Peter in Acts 8 who thought he could purchase the power of the Holy Spirit, and desired it through money. The rebuke was made on the grounds of thinking that the  gift of God may be purchased with money. That thought alone is damnable. It is a damnable heresy to think that the gift of God may be purchased with money, or that it can be bought in any way other than the gift God gives to sinful, wicked people when they come to Him in repentance, and cry out to Him for mercy.  Many in the modern church think that as long as a church does not teach such damnable heresies regarding salvation, no more needs to...

Wake up Call to the True Church

Please, please wake up Christians! Please, wake up! Look at how the Church is becoming less offensive to the world.  A "church" that is not offensive to the world because of what it practices, believes and worships,  is not a true church at all. Such a church is an apostate church. As Christians, we should be naturally offensive to the world by our obedience to God.  Our presence should offend the unsaved. The unsaved should find us offensive, or loony for being obedient to God. They should hate us or find us annoying. The unsaved should feel uncomfortable by what we do because we obey God. But the world doesn't feel that about the modern Church. It is quite comfortable with it and the Church is comfortable with the culture. This really should not be the case at all. We should find the culture repugnant. We should feel that we would like to spit the culture out of our mouths and flush it out of our system. They should feel the sam...

Witchcraft: Public Enemy Number 1

When people hear about witchcraft, the first thing that comes to mind are witches on broomsticks, old ugly women who make cauldrons and only too keen on poisoning little children. This imagery has some truth in it, however, it is too simple. Witchcraft is the spirit of control, manipulation and domination. God does not sanction ANY relationship between humans to be one of domination. It is not part of His Nature to dominate people as He gives every person a free will. Thus, any relationship involving domination comes from satan. Satan uses such relationships to control the person and compel them to do his will to lead them to Hell. Mammon Seduces and Intoxicates the World and the Church

The whole world, in particular, the modern secular world that thinks it knows better than God, is under the spirit of mammon. Mammon has seduced her. Many Christians are also under the spirit of mammon. Such people are the most duplicitous people as they know the truth that one cannot serve or worship both God and mammon, but yet try to do so. Mammon is a real spirit that comes from the devil. It is evil and it works through money. Money, in this world, can buy people anything, anything but God’s Love. Money can buy a selfish kind of romantic worldly love, careers, politics, power, cars, family, houses, education, holiday, leisure, entertainment, luxury goods – anything but eternal Salvation. Money as a physical object has no power. It is just a bunch of nickel coins that one can throw down the drain, on the train tracks to be dented by a train or into the sea where it rusts. Who likes money then? Almost everyone likes money. This is because it has value in the world.  Thu...

How the Spirit of Mammon is Hindering Christians from Reaching out to the Lost

Before, I begin, let me tell you beforehand that this email will sound militant and angry because it is. It is anger with cause. Some parts of it, or perhaps even the whole email will sound offensive to you. Does sounding offensive matter? No. What matters is speaking the truth in love, and because of the stubborn hearts of some of you, it will sound offensive even if I told you in person in the most gentle, loving manner. If you don't want to read it, that does not offend me at all. I am telling you this for your spiritual good. If you want to fight me about this, feel free to do it. I shall not be intimidated. You are really fighting God's Word if you fight me about this. You would really be mocking God not me. He will not be mocked. He will not let idolatry or blasphemy go unpunished.  The Gospel is offensive to the average unregenerate person. If you say that not sounding offensive or being offensive is important, then you may well not evangel...
