The spirit of Mammon enslaves by Stealing one's Joy, and Driving one to Seek Riches

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10) Those who seek to be rich will pierce themselves with many sorrows. Such sorrows will then lead to destruction. People who chase after riches do not chase after riches because they are happy. They chase after it because of their sorrow. Their sorrow drives them to chase after riches, leading to even more sorrows. They are sorrowful for having less than they want, less than they think is fair, or less than others. It is because of this sorrow that they are driven to seek riches, thinking it will make them happy and joyful. However, such a person is like a hamster on a wheel. He seeks riches out of sorrow, thinking it will give him satisfaction, only to find that it drowns him in more sorrow. So, as he seeks more riches, he drowns himself in more sorrow each time. The spirit of mammon uses sorrow to dri...

Earthly Happiness is False Joy and Nothing but an Illusion

Many people love to boast about the things that they have which everyone seeks after but do not have, whatever it may be. They boast and their boasting makes people feel uncomfortable, upset or envious. The reason people feel that way is because people not only seek after earthly happiness.  Earthly happiness is that which people find security. People derive their earthly happiness from not only the earthly temporal things they have, but also their security. That is why people feel uncomfortable, upset or covetous when seeing others also have what they have and find their security in. The earthly happiness people have is not true joy. The nature of joy is that it is supernatural. It is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Since joy is a fruit of the spirit, it does not and cannot come from the flesh. For as the Scriptures say: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.   For to be c...

No Material or Earthly Thing is a Blessing or even a Manifestation of a Blessing. Only True Joy, Peace and an Abudant Life are True Blessings.

Many in the modern Church are woefully deceived as to what is means to be blessed. They think that to be blessed means to have all manner of material things, be it a house, spouse, successful career, abundant money and luxurious holidays.  However, not one verse in the entire New Testament refers to material things as blessings. The same could be said of the Old Testament. All the things which God gave to Abraham was for him to be responsible for, not giving to him as a blessing. Abraham never claimed what he was given by God as a blessing.  Instead, Jesus taught in the Beatitudes that: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God....

Beware the Cares in the World Choking out the Word

Many in the modern Church say that practicing self-denial, by not striving after any earthly treasures or pleasures, but rather, letting God give one such things as He pleases, in His timing and in the way He chooses, is ascetism. They call it ascetism in denouncing such as mindset as legalistic or pharasical.  The essence of ascetism is not self-denial, but in seeking to be righteous by one's own works through self-denial, as opposed to trusting in Jesus' righteousness. They may say that if one is able to practice self-denial in such a way, then that is good, but that it is not necessary to please God to do so. Therein lies the deception that one does not need to practice self-denial. What part of Jesus' teaching that " If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me " (Matthew 16:24) is so hard to understand? Let me tell you what is so hard to underst and about that teaching. It is that people cannot accept that but ...

The Perversion of Needs as Wants is the Manifestation of Self-glory, Self-worship and Pride

There is a difference between wants and needs. A want is that which one merely desires but is not needed to remain a living human being, and to serve God. A need is that which one must have to remain alive as a living human being, and therefore to serve God. Thus, whether something is a want or need is determined by reference to whether it is needed to serve God for His glory. This is because humans exist for the purpose of glorifying God, and not ourselves. We are to live for Him, and not ourselves: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1:27). Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory , I have formed him; yea, I have made him (Isaiah 43:7). Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13).   Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast c...

Gain is not godliness like what many in the Modern Church unknowingly think

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words , even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;   He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth , supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:3-6). Many in the modern Church of the west think that where they gain more material things, it is godliness unto them. They think that they live comfortable lives, in the earthly sense, and enjoy many (earthly and worldly) freedoms that the vast majority in the world do not, because of their godliness.  The most obvious evidence of such thinking in the typical modern western Christian is that the west is "blessed" with democracy, which really should be called demoncracy, and capital...

The False Doctrine of Material Blessings

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased (Psalm 115:3). Many in the modern Church, especially the modern American Protestant Church, think that material abundance are what God blesses those who obey Him with. Some of these people even think that God blesses those who obey Him with their basic needs, because He is "obliged" to. What disgusting, vile, abominable blasphemy! This is a blasphemous doctrine, a doctrine of demons that has infiltrated the modern Church, especially among Protestant calvinist circles. The reason for such thinking is because the hearts thinks that one need not give up all to God and fully surrender to Him. Plain and simply. Such a heart, thinks that God is not Sovereign and somewhat subject to one's own needs. Such is damnable heresy.  The typical modern Christian will claim he does not think that, but he does. He thinks that in his heart. This is manifested by his actions, treating God as He who is obliged to giv...

Money and murder: How spirit of Mammon works to Lead people to Death

Money and murder go together.  Most crime in the world is committed with the motive to gain money, or to avenge for threats to one's finances or possession, either directly or indirectly. Much violence is motivated by the desire for money, or in response to one's financial security. There is a very strong connection between money and murder. All those social, or cultural movements which seek to 'advance' the interests of certain groups who take advantage of all social tumult are seek equality, liberty, freedom and rights such as the black liberationists and the feminists. They hate those who are skeptical of them, or resist them. They love the material things such as equality, rights or freedom, which ultimate come from money which enables people to buy absolutely anything that is earthly. Such people are murderers in the heart. The spirit of mammon is the demon behind many murders in the world, both murders of others and murders of self, that is, suicide. Suicide i...

Thinking one is entitled to anything at all is itself vile, abominable, evil ungratefulness to God

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18). The Word of God commands us to thank God for all things, whether good or bad. Thankfulness to God is a manifestation of not only contentment, but humility. Unthankfulness, and lack of contentment, manifesting in one's belief that one is entitled to anything at all, is pride. Unthankfulness towards God is vile, wicked, evil, abominable and disgusting. It is worthy all all contempt from God, just the mere belief in one's entitlement to anything, whether that be the food one eats, the clothes one wears or the breath one has.  None of the food you eat, or the breath you have is deserved. You are not entitled to it. You have no rights. That one even believes in one's rights, even to such things, is itself vile, disgusting, evil, abominable.  Thus, the 'good works' that people do in seeking such things to satisfy one's unthankfulness are filthy rags. T...

The spirit of mammon seeks to increases the appetites of the flesh, leading to more Discontentment and Depression

And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men (1 Samuel 22:2). Debt has a power behind it. Apart from creating an illusion that money and possessions will make one happy, it works through increasing the appetite of the flesh, making it one that is less and less satisfied. As it grows in greed,  envy and covetousness, one is seeks debt more, thinking more is legitimate. When one seeks more debt, one becomes less contented with what one has. This leads to depression.  The spirit behind depression from not being satisfied with what one has is the spirit of mammon. He seeks to increase the appetites of the flesh, leading to more discontentment and depression. He seeks to murder by depression. He loves death as the wicked do.

The spirit of Mammon uses Debt to Ensnare people into serving him, through Enslavement and Domination

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8). Speaking out about the spirit of mammon has been ridiculed and mocked by many professing Christians, including 'conservative' Christians and modern evangelicals as useless, and focusing on a 'minor' issue. This is not merely foolishness, to treat the issue of the spirit of mammon as minor. It is the height of all pride, thinking that because one is a 'conservative' Christian or evangelical, one can never be under the spirit of mammon.  This is manifested in their casual, and flippant dismissal of all professing Christians who are under the spirit of mammon as false converts. The real irony is, of course, that many of these arrogant Christians who flippantly dismiss the claim that a true convert can be under the spirit of mammon, is that they themselves are under it. It is precisely because they are under it, and know it deep down inside of their h...
