Why the modern western Church just Can't See Usury for what it is: Sin

Many unsaved people from different cultures, religions and nations can see usury for what it is: sin. Many non-western Christians can also see usury for what it is: sin. Yet, many in the modern western Church, that is, westerner Christians, cannot see usury for what it is - the so-called more 'enlightened' western Christians who think they are more enlightened, though they do not put it that way, because they embrace the values of "rights", "liberty" and "equality".  They are proud of themselves for believing in the "rights" of the oppressed, poor and needy, feeling carnal sympathy towards them, and not love, on the grounds that they have less earthly material things, which really have no value at all.  They are proud of believing in civil 'liberty', in the name of "tolerance". They are not only all to eager to show that they do not "impose their views on others". They compromise with sin, thinking they are...

The doctrine of "rights" is a pretext for Unforgiveness, Hatred, Envy, Strife, Conflict, Division and War

Many in the modern western Church think that the doctrine of "rights" is a legitimate one. One of the most common responses they make in response to the claim that there is not such thing as a right is that rights are needed to claim justice. Rights, they argue are a means of protecting people against oppression. This seems like a very convincing, wholesome statement. However, it is not.  In fact, it is an extremely selfish statement. Instead of giving up one's self as Jesus has called His followers (Matthew 16:24; Mark 8:34; Luke 14:27), it seeks to attach the self to seeking justice for oneself, under the pretext of seeking to seek justice for others. Even if one did not seek to attach self to seeking justice for others under such a devious, cunning pretext, it is not that any oppressed person has any rights at all, whatsoever. While the follower of Christ has an obligation to plead the cause of the needy and oppressed (Psalm 82:3; Isaiah 1:17; Proverbs 31:9) , it is ...

Economics is a matter of ethics and morality (whether you like it or not)

Many in the modern Church think that economics has nothing to do with ethics or morality. They think that ethics and morality do not apply to economics, or any other area of life they believe is 'secular', and thus should be 'separate' from the sacred. Such is the deception of the 'secular vs sacred' divide from the world which has really deceived the Church, thinking that it has no liberty to speak about ethics and morality about economics, or that such ethics and morality are irrelevant to economics. Economics is a philosophy. It is a set of ideas, a set of doctrines. Every doctrine has a ethic and morality, whether it be good or bad. For example, there is the communist ethic, capitalist ethic, nationalist ethic, or even the liberal ethic. Each ethic has a spirit behind it which gives the ethic its power , just as sin has a power. In fact, it is because of the power of sin that each worldly ethic has a power behind it - an evil, wicked, demonic power. Such w...

The Church has succumbed into Earthly Fleshly ways of dealing with Moral Issues

One of the reasons why the modern church in the west is so weak is because it has fallen into dealing with moral issues such as abortion, pornography and sex slavery in very earthly and fleshy ways. It is not that the world and the church have total disagreement on everything. No. The world and the church both have agreements on what issues are to be of moral concern. However, the world and the church are in conflict over: Why those things that the world and church agree to be wrong, are wrong; How to think about these moral issues; How to deal with these moral issues; and How to deal with and treat the perpetrator and the victims. The Modern Church's Earthly, Fleshly Reasoning as to why Immoral Acts are wrong The modern church has subtly fallen into consequentialism. For example, it argues, regarding abortion, that it is wrong, not purely because it offends God, but because it "hurts" people, especially women. This may seem very caring. Howev...

Anxiety under the guise of being hardworking or sacrificial

The spirit of mammon does not feed on sexual lusts, although it is the case those who are sexually immoral will be the most mammonised people. There is a strong clear link between sexualisation and mammonisation of society.  Rather, he feeds on anxiety of people because it is something that all of us will struggle with in the flesh from time to time, and also a sin that many people, both the unsaved and saved, think is a respectable or legitimate one. This is in contrast to the sin of harlotry that is an obvious abominable to Christians and also many decent 'moral' unsaved people. The sin of harlotry, for a considerably large portion of people is an obvious abomination, whereas the sin of anxiety and want is not obvious and often regarded as being "dutiful", "hard-working", or being prepared to "sacrifice" one's own self-interests for others - often those who one loves, connected to oneself . Mammon works through anxiety under the self-rig...

How to counter attacks on Christians by secularists

Know this: Secular people (in the typical sense of the term) are mean, judgmental, hateful of "religious" people (ie. Christians), happy to support non-Christian religious people  because of their anti-christ spirit, intolerant, though thinking they are tolerant. They are hypocritical, immoral, proud, arrogant, boastful, self-centred, sexually immoral (of course), disobedient to parents, dishonest, slanderous of Christians. They are narrow-minded themselves, while accusing others of being narrow minded, and of course, content with their riches, self-satisfied and smug. They are presumptuous, and think they know everything; argumentative about theology while knowing nothing, NOTHING about theology and twisting it. They are the worst group of people because of their sexual immorality and celebration of it - one of the most serious sins. Moreover, they love to lie about sexuality and how moral it is to be sexually immoral.

The spirit of harlotry and her seduction

The spirit of harlotry manifests in the worship of female sexuality as exemplified in pagan religions, goddess worship and witchcraft. She is the spirit that seduces discontented and power-seeking women who seek to dominate men. Feminist Helen Gurley Brown loved to give young women her favourite piece of advice: to have power over men, you must use what you have between your legs. She was referring to sex. Gurley Brown gave her advice about getting more money, sex and power. She was used by the spirit of harlotry to make girls feel they need these things - as a result, to make them vulnerable to the spirit of mammon and harlotry, and not able to discern between the two owing to their unregenerate minds. This has produced a generation of evil young women in the west. Sex is worshipped by those men and women under the spirit of harlotry. She manipulates women to feel the need for sex to get love. She manipulates men to feel the need for dominance and power, to get sex. She blinds t...

The Perversions of Humanistic Sympathy and Why the World Cannot be Blamed for it

Imagine this. A paedophile has been found guilty of child sex abuse. The judge asks him why he thinks he should not be guilty. He says, “I was seduced by the young teenager” or “I was groomed that way. A man has been found guilty of murdering a woman.  The judge asks him why he should not be guilty. He says that he was asked by someone to murder her and he was. Perhaps, he might have received a murder threat if he did not commit the murder. So, he committed the murder and is charged accordingly to the law. Surely, media and the public would be in an uproar the pathetic moral excuse. Similarly, a woman who chooses to abort her baby does so intentionally. Despite pressure or threats made against her if she did not murder her child, the 21 st century pro-life movement says that the woman is not at any moral fault for the murdering of her baby. It says that it is no her fault for that because of pressure or threats made against her, despite having a choice to avoid abortion. She ...

The Deception of Humanism

The world has changed dramatically each century, and the changes of the 21 st century are no less dramatic.  One of the most significant changes is the dominance of humanism and its selfish sympathy for groups deemed to be marginalised or oppressed. Such is the starkest manifestation of humanism. Humanism is the ideology that people are good, moral and even righteous by nature. It assumes that whatever evils humans may commit, it is not because of an inherently evil nature, but rather because of environmental factors such as poverty, inequality or a lack of education. Environmental factors, thus, must be taken into account to determine the moral culpability of an act.  The good deeds of a person must also be taken into account to determine the moral culpability of an immoral act of a person since moral culpability is not determined by the act per se , but determined according to the person’s overall character. Therefore, if a person has stolen from others and murdered ot...
