Intolerance is a Virtue

One modern evangelical said to me that "I think Australians think we are ... intolerant (of other religions)". Intolerance is a virtue. If a person was a paedophile, or murderer, would you tolerate him? Would you tolerate his motives? No, you surely wouldn't.  The statement that Christianity is intolerant is a utterly deceptive one. Ask the person who makes the claim, "are you being tolerant?". Ask him, should a person from a culture where paedophilia is legitimate and thinks there is nothing wrong with it be tolerated?  The same applies with religions and culture. The beliefs people have are real and certainly a person may not act on it. However, the eternal consequences are real. That is the real issue and the Christian need to help the unsaved see this by just using the Law of God - having one's own religion is idolatry, not putting God first.  The Christian needs to remember that false religions are demonic and should not be tolerate whatsoever, r...

Democracy's False Ethic of Fairness and Equity

Many think that democracy provides the best way for achieving fairness and equality before the law. However, this is far from the truth. Democracy is really rule by majority . That is, the masses dictate what should be the law. Thus, because masses dictate what should be the law, its values as to what should be the law are paramount. Morality and ethics are not necessarily paramount in determining what the law should be. Indeed, law is a set of values enforced by authority. Within the democratic framework, it is what people think or believe the right moral framework is that determines the law. There is a great deal of faith placed in human 'wisdom' and philosophy. Democracy, as such is anti-Christian because it elevates human thinking above God's. This explains not only why laws made within a democratic framework are anti-Christian, but the conundrums that arise within the democracy are anti-Christian. The most stark example of an anti-Christian conundrum that arises with...

How satan tricks us (1): Truth is twisted with some Error

Satan is very cunning in his tricks. He mixes truth and error, to make truth sound like error and error sound like truth. He appeals to the pride, emotion and sentiments of people to make them have a certain impression of something that is based on something true, and then twists this truth to create a lie. What he gets people to think is based on that which is true, but he twists the truth with some error to deceive us. He is too cunning to know that if his lies are based on that which are known to be false, he will not be able to deceive people. He appeals to the emotions of those who have been hurt by a church, and tells them that it is the church that is wrong in its teachings, so they can sin without consequences or blame God. He appeals to the sentiments to the women who fear violence and degradation that one must be able to kill their husband to protect themselves and feel liberated from fear. He appeals to the pride of those who think they morally superior and tolerant, to be...

Psychology: Tolerate all Beliefs (except for Christianity) (6)

Modern society places an emphasis on tolerance, in particular, religious tolerance. Tolerance in modern society means to accept the beliefs of others to be legitimate in itself on the grounds that people have "right" to choose what they want to believe in. This is completely contrary to the words of Jesus (John 14:6): "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me." People are indeed given by God, the choice to believe in what they want, that is to break the 1st and 2nd Commandments, or the repent and trust in Jesus. God did not make us robots, but people with a free will. Many unbelievers are quick to say, "judge not lest you be judged" when confronted with the Law of God. Yes, Jesus did say that, and He did indeed tell the people who were about the stone the woman caught in the act of adultery, "let he who has never sinned throw the first stones". (John 8:7) However, He did not say to the adulteress, ...
