The Wickedness of Heretics and their Heresies

At the essence of heresy is rebellion, leading to confusion, and not the other way round in being confusion in essence, leading to rebellion owing to ignorance. Rebellion is always at the heart of all heresy. Heretics believe in their heresy because of their rebellion against God. Such rebellion is not mere rebellion, but arrogant rebellion which not only loves sin, but loves to challenge the authority of God, in not only who He is, but also His Word, and ultimately, His Lordship. For that is what rebellion ultimately seeks to oppose, and to usurp the Lordship of God over one's life so that one can exercise one's own lordship over one's life. Heresies are of two kinds:  1. Theological heresy  - that which denies or distorts any aspect of the Nature of God. 2. Moral heresy - that which denies, opposes, compromises on, or qualifies any Commandment of Jesus Christ in any way, shape or form. A person may affirm all the true doctrines of the Trinity and Salvation, includi...

Heresy: The Greatest Sin of Rebellion

Heresy is often thought to be simply any doctrine that deviates from the true doctrines about Jesus. While doctrines that deviate from the true doctrine about Jesus is certainly heretical, that is only an example of heresy. Such an understanding of heresy misunderstands the real essence and the nature of heresy itself.    Heresy is in essence, rebellion against God. It is the exercise of illegitimate authority against God through the perversion of doctrine. For in such doctrine is borne out of rebellion against God itself, a hatred of God, in particular, a love for that which is carnal. Jude 1:8-19 sums up the nature of heretics:  Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.  Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”  But these speak evil of whatever they do not know...

The spirit of Religion is Full of Self-Righteousness expects Rewards for its own False 'Righteousness'

The spirit of religion is an extremely pernicious and dangerous spirit, far more dangerous than the spirit of Jezebel who everyone loves to target. Let me be clear, the spirit of Jezebel is evil, but she only arises because the spirit of Abab exists. One would be wise to remember that it was not the spirit of Jezebel, but the spirit of religion who murdered Jesus. For every one person under the spirit of Jezebel, there are thousands under the spirit of religion. The spirit of religion is a vile spirit that not only claims holiness and righteousness, and appears to be holy and righteous to others. It is a spirit that attempts to justifies its own wickedness and unrighteousness by trying to legitimise its false holiness and righteousness on others. This explains why religious people love the moral Law. It is because in trying to legitimise their own holiness and righteousness, they must find that by which they can justify themselves. The Law, not Grace, is the avenue that allows them ...

True Christianity is Spiritual, Not Religious. Religion Deceives, True Christianity enlightens.

There are many deceptions in the professing Church today. One of the most insidious deceptions, if not the most insidious is that of religion. Religion deceives far more people than any secular ideology. Religious people recoil at secular thinking and its materialism, carnality and worldliness, but yet they think that materialism, carnality and worldliness wrapped under the guise of religion is not only justified, but right. The spirit of religion is real. The spirit of religion is a person, not an event, phenomenon or abstract idea. He is a demon. He has deceived so many people and is continuing to do so. Religion is not spiritual. True Christianity is not religion. It is a real and living intimate relationship with God. Most professing Christians are under the spirit of religion, all without realising it. For he or she who is under a spirit cannot see it. One must be delivered from it to be able to see it. The spirit of religion is extremely dangerous, far more dangerous than the...

Being Led by One's Lusts and the Desires for the World is the Essence of Carnality

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord ,  as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,  by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. ( 2 Peter 1:2-4) God has called all true Servants of God to glory and virtue. That is the highest and more glorious calling, to be called to reflect the glory and virtue of the very God Himself who created the universe ex nihilo (Genesis 1:1) and who will reign forever. Indeed, glorious and excellent things await those who totally give their lives for the glory and virtue of God!  Such glory and virtue is not merely great, but excellent and eternal. One would be a fool to say that one loves God, but yet seeks only the thin...
