Democracy
is not merely a political structure or political system. Neither is it just a
way of organising politics. It is an ideology, with a spiritual dimension. It
has a morality and ethic.
The
democratic ethic is that man's law is above God's Law. Man's law is sovereign
and is to be prioritised over God's Law. The 'will of the people' always comes
first. It is not that democracy necessarily rejects God's law. Democracy can
and does accept God's Law at times.
However,
this is not out of respect for God's Law, but because of the benefits of doing
so. God's Law is to be accepted, only where it advances human progress,
flourishing or advance. Where God's Law goes against human desire, God's Law is
to be scorned, rejected or despised. That is the essence of the democratic
ethic.
Democracy
is anti-Christian to the core. It despises God by making man reign over God,
and yet is perverse enough to seek the benefits of following God's Law where it
suits one's agenda.
