The spirit of harlotry works through witchcraft

There should be no surprise the witchcraft religions involve ritual fornication and prostitution. The same spirit works behind them both.  Revelation 18:23 says: "And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived." 

 Sorceries in this context refers to witchcraft, the seeking of power outside of God's authority. This occurs through challenging the authority of God by redefining it, to twist the Word of God by deception. Satan's favourite technique to to twist the truth, by combining a very confronting truth that many accept, with a more palatable lie to make another truth that is hard to accept, ignored. 

 The spirit of witchcraft is one that is behind sorceries and deception, for the spirit of witchcraft works through manipulation by deception. This is the most evident in the media and academia, the world of half-truths and truths. 

 The spirit of witchcraft works with sexual immorality and covetousness - the fleshly lusts the world seeks after and lives for to manipulate it and enslave it into sin.

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7).
