How Mammon stirs up Conflict and War (1): Blinding people

Mammon first step in stirring up conflict and war is to make people feel self-satisfied so that they think they will not be involved in conflict with others. It is this self-satisfaction that he works through to cause people to be puffed up with pride about themselves.

Mammon has blinded the whole western world and the church in the west, which are content with being smug behind their wealth, while claiming to stand up for justice and the needy. Such is the case of campaigns by secular organisations and people such as Melinda Tankard ReistGet Up!, and Collective Shout. How can one tell? Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (Matthew 7:16).

Melinda Tankard Reist, a self-professing "Christian" is associated with some anti-Christians such as Nina Funnell who accused a Christian ministry Access Ministries, "sexist" and "homophobic" because it stated that a girl showing her breasts can cause temptation and that homosexuality is a sin. Melinda Tankard Reist is also very arrogant and smug, always ungracious and unloving towards those who are enslaved to sexual sins that she selectively chooses to see, while most likely disregarding that of her associates. Indeed, "blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful" (Psalm 1:1). She thinks she is fighting for justice, but she is really just stirring up dissent, division and hate by her conduct. She seeks to "expose" evil through her organisation Collective Shout, thinking she is morally superior to others.

Get Up! is an organisation that claims to fight for "economic fairness". In the 'About' page on their website, they state, "Members take action on matters which are important to them. Whether it is campaigning on climate action, economic fairness, environmental sustainability or issues of social justice, GetUp members combine to demand better from our government, big business and media".  They pride themselves on being a "progressive, independent organisation". Above all, they are pro-democracy, a system of mammon and the devil's stronghold over the world.

Of course, these organisations think that they do not need God in fighting for their material, earthly needs, whether it be welfare benefits and psychological relief of being free from sexualisation. It is through people who think they are fighting for justice and what is right without God, who mammon works through to cause conflict, division, dissention, hate and war. Mammon causes people to be proud in fighting for their earthly needs or interests such as in the case of Collective Shout and Get Up!. He then blinds these people to think that what they are fighting for it legitimate because they have a "right", while blinding them from seeing the everything comes from God, and hence that there is no need to worry because God is in control (John 1:3).

It is because most people, who are headed for Hell, think they have "rights" to what they perceive is their interest or needs that they cannot see through the seduction of mammon. They think that fighting for "rights" is "normal". Many Christians also think it is "normal" to fight for "rights". To even think one has a "right" is all because of a failure to truly trust God.

Mammon feeds on the pride of life, especially in those who are frustrated at the state of the world around them. He puffs them up in getting involved in a conflict to fight for some earthly cause which has no eternal value, and is keeping them from seeking God, leading them to Hell. He enslaves to their pride of life, and blinds them to their lust for earthly things; the lust of the eyes and flesh. As a result, he can control and manipulate them in stirring up conflict between people, leading to hate, envy, jealousy, conflict, dissention, prejudice and war.

Many unsaved people can see the effect of mammon in the natural realm, but they cannot see mammon because they are spiritually blind. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).

We at Fighting the Four Evils have started two campaigns: Question Democracy at questiondemocracy.blogspot.com.au and Question Capitalism at questioncapitalism.blogspot.com.au. The aims of the campaigns are the expose the lies of democracy and capitalism, and ultimately to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We use an apologetics approach in which we attack the intellectual logic of these two anti-Christian ideologies, explain the problems from a Biblical perspective and share the Gospel.

Please pray for us in this campaign.

Two types of contentment

The world seeks contentment. It seeks to be contented in pursuit of all kinds of things, whether it be money, health, wealth, romance, sex, careers or family. It does not necessarily seek after riches to be content. However, that one does not seek after money as the first priority, but other things that are typically associated with good traditional values, such as family, does not in any way mean that one is content in the godly sense. By no means! A person can be a "conservative" and "religious" but just as earthly as the "liberal". There are two types of contentment: earthly contentment and godly contentment. Earthly contentment finds its fulfillment and satisfaction in things that are passing away, not necessarily money, but also things like family, education and children. Yes, that's right. Many professing American Christians think that they could never be under the spirit of mammon because they care for their families and love their families, a...

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7). However, the Christian can most definitely yield to the temptations of mammon just as he can yield to the temptations of satan. This is what is means for a Christian to be under the spirit of mammon. The signs of a person being under the spirit of mammon are: The person does not understand the spirit of mammon. This is because he or she is blinded by it and therefore cannot see it. The person reacts whenever being confronted with being told that they are under the spirit of mammon, or being told that they may be under it. This is not the person themselves reacting, but the spirit of mammon reacting. The person is self-satisfied with the abundance that they have. This is especially the case with many Christians today. They are happy with having a family, a well-paying job, security...

The spirit of Paganism is of Degeneracy, Rebellion and Bloodlust

Paganism is the rejection and hostility towards all Christian virtues. It is not merely the unbelief in fundamental Christian theological doctrine, but the hatred of Christian virtues. This ultimately leads to the active, outright embrace of all manner of degeneracy. The scriptures describes such paganism in Romans 1:18-32:   For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts wer...
