Stewardship is NOT ownership

Many Christians rightly accept that God expects wise stewardship of His Creation. However, many of them equate this to ownership, and hence the right to private ownership/property. They argue that private ownership, as opposed to state ownership allows one to glorify God through stewardship, and therefore, the Bible affirms private ownership. 

 The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein (Psalm 24:1). This describes God's Sovereignty over absolutely everything, including human life - one's life including yours and mine. God owns our bodies and our lives whether we accept it or not. Since God is absolutely Sovereign, it means to no human is sovereign over anything - all human authority and possessions are from God, by God and through God's grace ALONE.

 Therefore, that God commands humans to manage His Creation does not confer any "right" on any human to private property/ownership. An obligation to do something does not confer a right to be treated according to that obligation. The obligations God places on humanity comes from His Nature, not His Command, by virtue of His Nature.

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7).
