The human flesh thinks it is "entitled" to what it wants. That is how wicked it is. Galatians 5:19-21 lists the sins of the flesh:
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
The belief in "rights" feeds on all these sins. Whenever a person claims for one's "rights", one is always doing so out of envy, hatred, wrath, strife and jealousy. It is not matter of culture regarding the claiming of "rights". No, it is a manifestation of the wicked human heart, which is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things (Jeremiah 17:9).
The diametric opposite of the sins of the flesh are the fruits of the Spirit which are "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance" (Galatians 5:22-23).
Love is one such fruit, which does not seek its own way, nor does it rejoice in iniquity, treating with indifference the suffering or damage done to others because of iniquity. It cares for those who have been treated with iniquity (1 Corinthians 13:5-6). "Rights", seeks its own way and is indifferent towards the sufferings of others from iniquity. It is legalistic. Love is the greatest of all, because it fulfills the Law. Love is not legalistic, seeking what it can do or not, but what it should do for others. It is sacrifice and hates all self-seeking.
Easy credit and debit feeds on the desire to satisfy one's so-called "rights". It seeks to tempt people into thinking that it is their "right" to use money in any way they want, only to trap them into the desire for more, by feeding their appetite to satisfy the flesh which can never be satisfied.
Run from all easy credit. Kill all your debts. Run from all usury, which makes a profit out of debt slavery. Hate easy credit and usury. The spirit behind easy credit, debt and usury is the spirit of mammon, who seeks to make you his slave, and hold people in bondage to him.
Whoever is in bondage to, or influenced by the spirit of mammon even to the slightest cannot serve God, even if one tried to serve God (Matthew 6:24). This is because he feeds on your flesh.
