Many people, including many in the modern Church, believe in "rights". There is no such thing as a right for none of us deserve anything at all whatsover. We deserve nothing but to BURN IN HELL FOR AN ETERNITY! Do you still you have rights, knowing this to be the case?
You may argue that you deny your "rights" but care for those of others. Whether it is their "rights" or the "rights" of others is irrelevant because no one even has any rights in the first place. Every good thing we have is a gift from God (James 1:17).
Do you know what you believe in "rights"? It is the pride of life and lust of the flesh. You have not fully submitted to God in this area of your life. You are under the spirit of mammon who is seeking to feed on the flesh (no pun intended) of your anxiety for earthly things, including things like respect and care from others, which you think you "deserve" but do not.
Belief in "rights" is itself as sign that one is mammonised. The doctrine of "rights" is diametrically opposed to denying oneself, that which Jesus told us all to do to follow Him. You may say, what about those who don't want to follow Him? He was commanding all to deny oneself to be truth, for He is the Truth (John 14:6). Denying oneself is the only true way. Any other way is not the Way of Truth and which leads only to death and destruction in Hell.
You may still argue that people don't want to deny oneself, and still, even though He is making a command to all to follow Him, it does not apply to everyone. It is precisely because the flesh of humans does not want to deny itself that Jesus said to indict people: "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.". (Matthew 16:23).
It is the truth, whether you like it or not. Jesus said: "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.". (Matthew 16:23). If you can't accept this, you cannot be His disciple. Humble yourself, give up yourself to God and obey God.
