Have you noticed that the Christians who adopt or tolerate earthly thinking and combine them with Biblical theology are also often, if not always under the spirit of mammon? These Christians are the ones who say that "all people have their own truths" or that "we should accommodate for the desires of the world" through their actions. They are the people within the church who are anxious about their jobs and basic needs.
When one succumbs to the spirit of mammon, one will love the world or seek its approval, in the case of the Christian.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4).
