Beware the Cares in the World Choking out the Word

Many in the modern Church say that practicing self-denial, by not striving after any earthly treasures or pleasures, but rather, letting God give one such things as He pleases, in His timing and in the way He chooses, is ascetism. They call it ascetism in denouncing such as mindset as legalistic or pharasical.  The essence of ascetism is not self-denial, but in seeking to be righteous by one's own works through self-denial, as opposed to trusting in Jesus' righteousness. They may say that if one is able to practice self-denial in such a way, then that is good, but that it is not necessary to please God to do so. Therein lies the deception that one does not need to practice self-denial. What part of Jesus' teaching that " If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me " (Matthew 16:24) is so hard to understand? Let me tell you what is so hard to underst and about that teaching. It is that people cannot accept that but

Following Christ requires Total and Absolute Self-Denial, with No Exceptions or Qualifications

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:28-33) The Christian faith is a faith of self-denial, with no exceptions or qualifications. Some may say that this is to promote "asceticism", as a cunning ruse to justify their pleasure-seeking and treasure-seeking ways. They accuse all those who promote sel

It is Truly More Blessed to Give than to Receive

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). Many in the modern Church would say that they agree that it is more blessed to give than to receive because the Bible says so. But yet, so many think that a person is more blessed when he or she has more earthly things such as more money, yearly holidays, higher income, a satisfying job, stable and steady career, good marriage, good children, prestigious education, and the like.  Some of these things are good gifts from God, but that is NOT the question or the issue.  The issue is whether a person having more earthly things, including good gifts from God is more blessed than those who do not. Many in the modern Church think so, that one is more blessed when one has received more, rather than whether one has given more. Such is a false doctrine of demons which will take many to Hell b

Ethnocentrism and Ethnonationalism are of the spirit of Division, Strife and War

All types of division between humanity, the greatest cause of division is ethnicity, bar none.  Ethnocentrism is the cause of most wars. It is also that which units a country together, and prevents it from being divided, where people choose not to be divided but united because of their ethnicity. Likewise, in the most perverted of ways, where people are of different ethnicities, and where there is political turmoil, or where a country cannot sustain itself being resource-poor, people are divided along the lines of ethnicity, and separate from each other over ethnicity. Such is perversion. It is the evil manifestation of strife, division and war. People love others, or refraining from hating others, because of their ethnicity, being the same as their "own". People hate others, full of indifference towards their suffering, hardship, and oppression, because of their ethnicity, being different from their "own". Even in our times, which is often touted as very cosm
