Rebellion against God-given authorities is Modern-day Witchcraft

We live in an age of debt slavery. There are many unsaved who can see debt slavery, for what it is economically, culturally, financially and socially. However, they cannot see the spirit behind it. On the other hand, many in the modern Church have not even heard of the term debt slavery. Those who have do not soundly understand it, let alone understand how wicked, evil, and repugnant debt slavery is.  Debt slavery is a grave abomination. It is far far far more wicked than most Christians would think, just as rebellion against authority is by far much more evil those most Christians would think. It is of the spirit of witchcraft and rebellion, just as evil anarchist, marxist ideologies are of the spirit of witchcraft and rebellion The typical modern Christian thinks that the worst sin is abortion, because it is the murder of an image-bearer of God. Abortion, which is murder is undoubtedly a hideous abomination, deserving of all the fiery wrath of God. However, murder, being an a...

Response to a Critic of 'Capitalism's False Ethic of Giving' (2)

The paragraphs in green enclosed in square brackets are those of the critic. My response in purple is interspersed in between. [Free market economies work best and allow the most freedom to obey God's commands] This supposedly professing Christian is looking to the worldly systems, and praising it. The Bible commands “ Love not the world, neither the things   that are  in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15). [I think Karl Marx created the word capitalism...] The identity of the person who came up with the word ‘capitalism’ is irrelevant as to whether it is unethical and moral. [In America, there is a hugely unfair distortion of our money supply by the "Federal" "Reserve" which is sometimes called "capitalism" but which is really unconstitutional "legalized" theft by a private corporation.] This is the freedom from capitalism that this person claims to so love. Free...

Giving Up of all One's Self: The Ultimate Test of Faith

Many Christians living in the West are smug in their possessions and wealth. Many pray for prosperity, children's education, health, financial stability and a good family. While these things may not be evil in themselves, it is the motivation behind praying for these things that is wrong. Often, the motive is the attempt to serve mammon, the spirit behind all earthly things, not just money.  Jesus made it absolutely clear that no one can serve both God and mammon. A person will love one and hate the other. However, many in the modern church fail to take this literally and even perhaps twist the verse to mean that one can love mammon as long as one uses mammon to glorify God, using 'mammon' to mean money. Indeed, money can be used to buy things that are used to serve God, such as a church building, Bibles and setting up an evangelical radio network. However, this is a very dangerous half-truth. It is not the money that glorifies God, neither is it the things that one does ...

Spirit of Mammon works through Jealousy and Self-centred "Love"

The spirit of mammon seduces people by making them feel as though they do not have enough. It makes people of slave of their perceived poverty, inadequateness or weakness. It is not that material things themselves make people puffed up with pride, but the spirit behind it which makes people feel as though they are independent, self-sufficient and strong. This is indeed the attitude of many today in our increasingly materialistic, individualistic world. Jesus has a strong rebuke against such an attitude (Revelation 3:17): T hou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. The spirit underlying the attitude that one is self-sufficient, independent and rich with the earthly things one has is that of pride. Such is foolishness as earthly riches will rot.  While it is easy to say that only the rich and arrogant are proud of their earthly things, a poor person can be just ...

God-given Dominion over the Earth does not justify Capitalism

Some Christians argue that, unlike socialism and communism, capitalism teaches people to exercise what God has given to all people to use to serve God. God gives all people  natural resources and land, which is common property or land to use, whether they believe in Him or not.  Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground ( Genesis 1:26). They argue that capitalism, because people have to work to gain, teaches people to work hard and contribute to society, and discourages people from being slothful. However, the basis upon which capitalism is justified in this case can be used to justify communism, on the grounds that it can also be used to make people work together as a commune for the good of society.  Another argument made by Christians who support capitalism is that the gain is propo...

Capitalism: The Devil’s Stronghold over the World

There are many things that motivate people to do things that they would otherwise not do. Contrary to popular opinion, money is something that influences human behaviour, but it is not the only thing that influences human behaviour. Other factors such as comfort, security, health and love are among the main factors that can influence behaviour. While not all non-monetary things are tangible, they can all become a material factor where the core motive of craving such things is a desire for serve the self. Love, for example, can become a material possession when it is given to serve the self. Rather than loving others as a moral obligation in the spiritual sense, it becomes a material goal. Indeed, we live in an extremely materialistic world where it makes no sense to the average person to be kind to others simply because it is good in itself. The world is under the spirit of Mammon. This spirit of Mammon is characterised by a self-serving spirit that only worries about its own need...

What are Humanism and Liberalism to do with Democracy and Capitalism?

Of course humanism and liberalism and Marxism are wrong, but what does that have to do with this current discussion [ about democracy and capitalism ] ? - theologian and Bible college lecturer. All bold text are mine. Democracy is a product of humanism and liberalism. Hence, the call for more rights and freedom to maintain a democracy, because that is what a democracy is: serving the interests of humankind to do as one chooses, not as God commands.  With regards to Marxism, I was never promoting Marxism. I was merely contrasting it to capitalism, that Marxism is also materialistic but seeks to prevent the rich from exploiting the poor.  To the person asking the question above, you are the one who is interpreting the Bible to suit your own interests. You are under the spirit of mammon, liberalism and humanism, the ideologies you criticise yourself.

False Prophets and Doctrines Seduce the World

But  a there were false prophets also among  b the people, even as  c there shall be false teachers among you, who  d privily shall bring in damnable  e heresies, even  f denying  g the Lord  h that bought them, and  i bring upon themselves swift destruction.  2  And many shall follow their  * pernicious ways; by reason of whom  j the way of truth  k shall be evil spoken of. (2 Peter 2:1-2) The modern world at large, has seen the rise of false doctrines: secularism, humanism, socialism, Marxism, feminism and any other 'ism' that has been inspired by human wisdom rather than God's wisdom. People who adhere to these ungodly doctrines work extremely hard to twist the Bible and debunk it. They accuse the Bible of legitimising rape, claim that it justifies homosexuality because it tells people not to judge and twist agape  (love) to mean "tolerance". "Why don't you tolerate gays? Why don't you tolerate abortions? Wh...

God is Sovereign above All

Romans 13:1-7 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God : the powers that be are ordained of God . God alone is sovereign. Nothing else is, but God. Therefore, the person who says he (or she) is sovereign is trying to place his position above God. Democracy and Marxism essentially attempt to do this. This is why democracy and Marxism are against the Bible.

The Heart of Capitalism

The Church is becoming increasingly commercialised in the modern world. This is because Mammon has swept through the Church, and it is increasing its grip on the Church. Many churchgoers are money slaves who treat their job and anything else first, anything about God. This should be of great concern to Christians who truly serve God.  The Bible commands us to serve God, not money (Mammon), and that one cannot serve both masters. However, many Christians ignore this teaching and serve Mammon instead. The whole global financial system runs on charging interest on loans , a manifestation of capitalism. Capitalism is ideology that whoever has capital can use it to make as much gain as one wants by using the demands of others for what one has. It is not the free market itself. Capitalism is based on human materialism and possessiveness – that humans not God, own what they have. This is against Biblical teaching that everything on Earth is owned by God. It has encouraged people to...
