Many in the modern church are so uninformed, unaware and naive about what liberalism truly is. Some even claim to be supporters of liberalism in certain cases, for example regarding economics, thinking that "liberal"' economics (if such a distinction in economics is even needed) is more generous and caring towards the poor.  Some Christians even think that liberalism can be somewhat compatible with Christianity when liberalism is applied in  a certain way. This misses the real point of what the real issue is.  The real issue is the spirit of liberalism that works through people, feeding on the carnal desires and the flesh of the masses, and seeking to enforce this ethic onto all individuals. Secular humanism, whether politically, culturally or socially 'liberal' or 'conservative, is liberalism is the spiritual sense. This explains why there are unsaved people who are happy to embrace political, cultural or social conservativism - because it is not of God. Unsaved social conservatives, of whom most of them are, hate God. They hate Jesus Christ. They are servants of satan. They are dead in sin. They walk in darkness and are darkness. The modern church thinks that political, cultural or social conservatism is right to embrace because it not  political, cultural or social liberalism, that is liberalism in the political, cultural or social sense, as opposed to the spiritual sense. Liberalism is perhaps the most deceptive and evil ideologies of all the evil ideologies in the world. It is the evil of all evils. This is by no means a statement of hatred against people who embrace of hold onto liberalism. Rather, it is an exposition of the evil demonic spirit behind it. To expose and rebuke people for their error which will lead them to Hell, is the most loving thing one can do. This is precisely the purpose of exposing the spirit of liberalism. In Revelation 13 it is prophesied that at the end of the age there will be a false prophet that arises to prepare for and give power to one called “the beast.” This “beast” deceives the nations and requires all to take a mark, 666. Without this mark no one can “buy, sell, or trade.” This “mark of the beast” has been a dominant subject in eschatology (the study of biblical prophecies of the end of the age) since the first century, and many things have been called this that turned out not to be so. However, we know it will come, and it may be upon us.      Few events in history have so remarkably fit the biblical scenario of this mark as the potential U.S. Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage. The spirit of mammon does not feed on sexual lusts, although it is the case those who are sexually immoral will be the most mammonised people. There is a strong clear link between sexualisation and mammonisation of society.  Rather, he feeds on anxiety of people because it is something that all of us will struggle with in the flesh from time to time, and also a sin that many people, both the unsaved and saved, think is a respectable or legitimate one. There is a movement in the west which seeks to normalise and legitimise paedophilia. You may argue that is will not happen as so many naive Christians do, thinking that things do not change. Things do change. Just as the homosexual movement was underground for years, it sought to cast doubt on its immorality and decency, then creating a culture that tolerated it. This tolerance of homosexuality lead to one which eventually created a culture that views opposition or even the mere questioning of homosexuality as "hateful" and "bigotted". Harlotry is increasing. ‘Prostitution’, as it is argued, victimises women and is a tool by which men abuse women. Imagine this. A paedophile has been found guilty of child sex abuse. The judge asks him why he thinks he should not be guilty. He says, “I was seduced by the young teenager” or “I was groomed that way. A man has been found guilty of murdering a woman.  The judge asks him why he should not be guilty. One subtle doctrine of demons is the social gospel. The social gospel teaches that followers of Jesus should be seeking social justice and helping the material needs of the needy because such works make one right with God. It claims that such works are needed to be done by a person to get right with God. Jesus did indeed command His followers to give to the needy (Matthew 6). Mammon works through envy and jealousy to cause people to hate and fight each other, as well as have prejudice against others. Mammon also works through hatred, conflict, dissention and war to cause envy and jealousy. It seduces people into hating, fighting and warring against others such as to feel envious or jealous or what others have or do not have. This is to control the people who are under its power, causing them to see how their hatred, conflict, dissention or war is justified, owing to threats to their own security. Mammon is feeds flesh because it seduces people into serving themselves and the things of this world. He is behind money, the epitome of all earthliness. Many think that democracy provides the best way for achieving fairness and equality before the law. However, this is far from the truth. Democracy is really rule by majority .
