Boasting about Your so-called "Blessings" leads to Hell

Many in the modern Western church love to talk about how "blessed" they are, because they have a nice house, luxury car, fulfilling well-paying job with good work conditions, good marriage, and good children, regular holidays, and a big network of friends. Such is a false and deception view of what it means to be truly blessed, which has taken the Church by storm. Their boasting, they think, is a means of glorifying God, but it is not. It is an abomination to God: Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished (Proverbs 16:5). Woe to you who love to boast about your so-called "blessings", and parade it in front of everyone. You may think you are so favoured by God because of what you have, but you are not. You are full of perversion and pride. You think God loves you more than the believers in the poorer nations, because you have more wealth, health and prosperity? You think you have a spe...

Ethnocentricism is of the spirit of Hatred and Pride

Ethnocentrism, or racism, is the idea that one's ethnicity makes one superior to others. It is an extremely subtle mindset which so many people are under but do not realise. It manifests in all kinds of ways. One such way it manifests is the belief that violence done by one ethnic group against another is justified, but violence done by another ethnic group is always wrong.  Ethnocentrism is a vile worldly mindset. It is entirely contrary to the teaching of the Bible that "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28). The distinctions which determine the superiority of one ethnicity, sex or social-economic status are gone in Christ. For all in Christ are in Christ who does not view any person as superior or inferior to another.  All people are sinners before God, and nothing but sinners, unless they recognise their sin before God, turn from their sins, and place ...

The Curse of Vain Speech which Incites Envy and Jealousy

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh ! (Matthew 18:4-7)  Many in the modern Church are causing their fellow saints to stumble by their vain speech and idle babbling, all without knowing. The Bible has much to say about speech. Speech itself has an effect on the hearer, not merely emotionally or psychologically, but spiritually. Indeed, " death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" (Proverbs 18:21). The mere listening to, or in the case of the internet, the re...

How to Kill Envy and Jealousy

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live (Romans 8:13). Jealousy and envy are the most pervasive sins. They are the sins which literally every person commits, including 'moral and decent' people who do not indulge in sexual immorality, live lifestyles of crass materialism, and practice drunkenness. Such things are vile sins and deserve death, but so are jealousy and envy, which are sins of the flesh: Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry (Colossians 3:5) Just like the sins of sexual immorality, one must put to death jealousy and envy, or else one will die and go to Hell. The Bible commands us to put to death the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13). So, how can one put to death the sin of jealousy and envy? 1.  Wholeheartedly pursue God and His Kingdom, and not your ow...

The Ensnaring Power of Envy and Jealousy

We live in a world full of people who love to make others envious or jealous of them. Such people cannot rest until they makes others envious or jealous of them. Whenever they fall to make others envious or jealous of them, they are full of anger, and hate the person who they seek to stir up envy or jealousy in, all the more. Such is the perversion of envy and jealousy. Advertising is the most obvious example. It feeds on the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life (1 John 2:16), seeking to promise fulfillment of such things, but yet being only too delighted to show that one cannot. That is exactly how envy and jealousy work. They not only thrive on, but love to only show people seeking to fulfill their lusts and pride, how they cannot find such fulfillment, whereas another can. Jealous and envy make a person spiritually weak because just as death and destruction are never satisfied, the same is with the lust of the eyes: Hell and destruction are never full; so the ey...

The spirit of witchcraft feeds on Rebellion, Covetousness and Idolatry

The spirit of witchcraft is demonic. She is cunning, deceptive and manipulative. She is not an imagination of the mind. She is real and right under our noses. She manifests herself in much of modern western culture. Whether it be through sexualised media, power struggles in sexual politics, wild and unsubmissive wives, hedonism and harlotry, she manifests herself through these means. These are only few examples of how she manifests herself.  The spirit of witchcraft tempts people to desire to be independent. God did not makes us to be independent of him or of each other. He made us to be dependent on Him and to be interdependent on each other. Much of western culture speaks about independence, whether it be children being independent of their parents, wives being independent of their husbands, and each individual being independent of everyone else. It is this desire to be independent which the spirit of witchcraft feeds, seducing them with the lust of the eyes.  The desire...

Equality itself is a doctrine of envy and the spirit of mammon

The modern world fights for its “equality”. Those who fight for “equality” are treated as good and moral by the world. This in itself indicates that the doctrine of “equality” is of the world, and thus, an abomination to God (Luke 16:15).  Many mammonised Christians, particularly those in the west think there is nothing wrong with equality. Indeed, many of them believe in “equality” themselves. They think that all humans are entitled to seek “equality”, out of their envy. The only reason why people would believe in “equality” is because of envy for others. It is irrelevant whether the person is rich or poor, high income or low income, or economically secure or not, in determining whether the person believes in “equality” out of envy.  The doctrine of “equality” is itself envy. All those who seek for “equality” of whatever sort, are vile, abominable, proud, arrogant and evil.  The Bible never ever says that humans are entitled to equality in material things. I...

Believing in "rights" itself is of envy, strife and pride

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.   But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth . This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace (James 3:13-18). The very doctrine of "rights" itself, and believing in it, whether for oneself or others, is worldly wisdom. It feeds on the lust of the flesh and pride of life, and thus, the spirit of mammon works through those who believe in "rights".  It is the opposite of what godly wisdom is. Godly wisdom is humble, submissive and mercifu...

The doctrine of "rights" is of spirit of independence

The doctrine of "rights" is of the spirit of independence which is hostile against all dependence on God. Even the word 'dependence' is thought of as an extremely negative word in the modern world which bent only on its "rights".  The spirit of independence feeds on the human desire to be independent, relying on one's own human strength as opposed to faithfulness, trusting in God. It encourages unfaithfulness to God, independence being an absence of faith in God itself. Such unfaithfulness is of the flesh: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law  (Galatians 5:17,22-23). The doctrine of rights sets oneself, and not God, as the authority and measure of one's needs, desires an...

The spirit of mammon feeds on the fear of earthly, worldly oppression

The modern Church has been deceived by the world's doctrines of oppression, whether it be liberal, or conservative, religious or secular, left or right, humanist, islamic, mormon, hindu, atheist, buddhist or jehovah's witnesses. All the world's doctrines of oppression concerning what is oppression, what are its causes and how it can be dealt with are all fleshly, sensual, earthly, and demonic for such is worldly wisdom (James 3:13-16). The way the whole world deals with oppression, not just the secular liberals, but the whole world, thrives on bitter envying and strife: Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.     For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work (James 3:13-16).  ...

Mammon works through self-satisfied contentment

Many of you may think that if a person is contended, he or she is not under the spirit of mammon. You may think that you are not under the spirit of mammon because you are truly saved, you donate much money to your local church, and you are a full-time evangelist, as what one modern evangelical thinks.  No! A person can be very very content with what one has and be under the spirit of mammon who is prowling around, seeking to hold more people in bondage and enslavement to him. This is how deceptive mammon is. You may say that a person who is very content is not under the spirit of mammon because one is contented with oneself with all one has. That is exactly what is means to be under the spirit of mammon. To be content with yourself, thinking that you are rich, when you are poor. Such was the church of Laocidea. It became self-contented, contented with one has, smug behind its possessions like the modern church in the west. You may say it not contentment commanded in Hebrews 13:5...
