To Even Think what one has as One's Own, rather than God's is itself Self-Centred and Selfish

All things belong to God (Psalm 24:1). This literally means that all that is in the earth belongs to Him. He is the owner of all things, and no one else is. Human beings are only the stewards as Genesis 1:28 says: " And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth ". The word 'dominion' in Genesis 1:28 comes from the Hebrew word 'radah' which means reign. However, Psalm 24:1 makes it clear that all things belong to God and Him alone.  One might argue that the 8th Commandment, which is "do not steal" (Exodus 20:15) supports the idea of 'private property' meaning that human beings own what God has given them. However, this is in effect to deny that God is the Sovereign Owner of all Things which Colossians 1:16 makes very clear: For by him were all th...

Usury is a Product of a Selfish, Self-seeking Prideful Heart which has No Love

For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.   But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil (Luke 6:32-35). Many in the modern Church, that is 21st century think that there is nothing wrong with usury. They do not even think it is an issue of concern, not even one of morality. They think that because the New Testament does not (explicitly) talk about it, it is legitimate, that one has liberty to charge usury. Although the New Testament does not speaking explicitly about it, it does speak about the heart of one who expects what he len...

Claiming what one possesses to Belong to Oneself is itself to Hate God

The Parable of the Minas is told in Luke 19:11-27. The evil citizens who were under the Master said, "We will not have this man to reign over us" (Luke 19:14). These citizens expressed their hatred of their Master because they hated the thought of their Master being served by the servants to whom he said: "do business till I come" (Luke 19:13). T o have stewards of one's possessions signified authority over the citizens. This is what the order to " do business till I come" meant.  The Parable concludes by saying: And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.   But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me (Luke 19:24-27). The Master...

There is No True Exception to the Moral Prohibition against Usury

The Moral Law of God stems from His very Character and His very nature. It is eternal. God gave Old Testament Israel the Mosaic Law which contains three types of laws: ceremonial laws, civil laws and moral laws. Although the ceremonial and civil laws of the Old Testament are not morally binding today, they all have a moral and spiritual significant underlying them. It is the moral and spiritual significance underlying all the ceremonial and civil laws which still apply today because the moral and spiritual lesson behind them are of the Moral Law of God.  The civil laws of Israel regulated how God's justice and law was to be administered regarding the temporal. For example, the laws regarding property were civil laws of Israel, which were based upon the Moral Law of God as all laws of God given by the Prophets are based on the Moral Law, which hinges on His Love. Jesus made this clear in Matthew 22:37-40, when asked what was the Greatest Commandment in the Law in Matthew 22:36: ...

The Wicked Borrow and do not repay because they think what they have belongs to Them, instead of Acknowledging God

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth (Psalm 37:21). The Bible makes it absolutely clear that the wicked borrow and do not repay. This is contrasted with the righteous, who show mercy and give, as indicated by the word 'but' in Psalm 37:21.  Borrowing money and no repaying is a manifestation of pride and self-seeking, using that which was given to one for one's own interests. It is to assume that what one has in one's hands belongs to oneself, such that one can do as one chooses with it. This indeed is the spirit behind the doctrine of private property, a doctrine of demons, which panders to the flesh which thinks that the good things it receives are deserved by it, rather than that it is the precise opposite of what it deserves. It is a manifestation of envy, s elfish a mbiti on and hatred of righteousness, which a re of the flesh (G alatians 5:19-21).  This is contrasted with the righteous person who shows mercy ...

The doctrine of Private Property is a Vile, Evil Doctrine from the Pit of Hell. To Hell with Private Property!

The doctrine of private property purpor ts that what humans have belong to themselves . It is a vile, evil doctrine, like all modern doctrines embraced in the west, which even the Church in the west tolerates. It is a evil, despicable, abominable doctrine from the Pit of Hell, raising up one's fist against God. All things belong to God (Psalm 24:1). The world was made by God, through God and for God, and God alone ( Romans 11:36; Colossians 1:16). Nothing was made for your glory at all. Your salvation, if you are saved, is not for your glory at all, but for God's glory alone. What par t of God alone and God's glory alone do you not understand ?  Many do not understand what it means for all t hings, that is , absolut ely all things made for God's glory alone because they are seeking to claim g lory. T he test of one's God -centredness is whether one tot ally denies all glory for himself at all , and gi ves all glory to God alone .  Many in the modern Chu...
