Trusting in Wrong Saviours is a Manifestation of Faithlessness

Phil Johnson, the Executive Director of Grace to You, tweeted, "Politicians and SCOTUS cannot fix what ails our culture. Dunno why that’s so hard for evangelicals to grasp. #QuitTrustingTheWrongSaviours". Too right, Mr Johnson. If only if those evangelicals can grasp that. That is why happens when people start trusting in the arms of the flesh, rather than in God. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God (Psalm 20:7).

How the Rich have Power over others

Through the whole of human history, the rich are always those who have power to make all the decisions in the world. How do the rich become powerful? It is not the money itself that makes them powerful. It is that the world loves money and fears the rich which makes them powerful. Those who love money, by their love of money, empower the rich. This love of money which ensnares people, gives power to those who have money over those who do not, or those who have less. Indeed, the rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7). The same occurs in the Church, yes even the true Church which is made of true converts who still can and do succumb to the flesh. The pastors and church leaders fear offending the rich people in the Church today because they are the ones who enable pastors and church leaders to use the arm of the flesh the most. Their means of provision is that which legitimises trust in the arms of the flesh. That is why pastors and church...

The spirit of Witchcraft uses Debt to Oppress those who Cannot Repay

Debt is a game embraced by the rich of the world, that is, those who have at least some. Debt, indeed, is a plaything of the rich used to oppress the poor, those who cannot repay. GK Chesterton once said in his classic book Utopia of Usurers and other Essays that: " Everyone knows that the people who can least pay their debts are the people who are always trying to. Among the poor a payment may be as rash as a speculation. Among the rich a bankruptcy may be as safe as a bank. Considering the class from which private soldiers are taken, there is an atrocious meanness in the idea of buying their blood abroad, while we sell their sticks at home ". That debt even exists is itself an indictment to the world, both the poor and the rich, those who have none and those who have some, both the borrower and the lender. It is an indictment to the world. People have to borrow money because people choose to treat what they possess as belonging to them, as individuals when all thi...

The spirit of Murder who leads people to Death

The spirit of murder is a real demonic spirit who tempts people to murder people, including others and themselves. Murder can indeed be directed towards oneself. The spirit of murder seeks to tempt people to murder, not to make the lives of people miserable, but to seduce them into the pleasure of indulging in one's flesh, through murder. Suicide is the ultimate manifestation of self-love, and the indulgence in pursuing lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes and pride of life. Sin is not miserable as the world thinks. It is pleasurable to the sinner, and not miserable to the saint, but abominable and anathema to the saint. Suicide is the ultimate pleasure to the sinner because it enables him to claim that he gets the ultimate control of how he lives, and in seeking his flesh and pride, with absolutely no limits to it. This is exactly why the world thinks suicide is legitimate, but that murder of others is wrong. Suicide is pleasure to the sinner, the ultimate act of self-love that...

The Perversion of the Doctrine of Blessings in the Modern Church, by the Modern Church

The modern Church has a twisted idea about what is means to be blessed and what a blessing is. This is manifested in the works it does in seeking to help others, and the manner of spirit in which it seeks to do good works. It thinks that it is by doing works that makes it blessed, rather than being what Jesus told the Church to be, the salt and light of the Earth.  The modern Church has made this out to mean that Jesus was telling the Church to do certain works, rather than to be what it means to be blessed in the eyes of God.  Such an unbiblical view of what blessings are has made the whole Church ignorant about what Jesus called the Church to be. This explains the manifestations of good works done in a hypocritical manner by the modern Church. It seeks to do good works for God, but out of one’s own human strength, doing such works in the way it sees fit, as opposed to as God sees fit.  It is all too easy to think that as long as one is doing good works for ...

The doctrine of "rights" is of spirit of independence

The doctrine of "rights" is of the spirit of independence which is hostile against all dependence on God. Even the word 'dependence' is thought of as an extremely negative word in the modern world which bent only on its "rights".  The spirit of independence feeds on the human desire to be independent, relying on one's own human strength as opposed to faithfulness, trusting in God. It encourages unfaithfulness to God, independence being an absence of faith in God itself. Such unfaithfulness is of the flesh: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law  (Galatians 5:17,22-23). The doctrine of rights sets oneself, and not God, as the authority and measure of one's needs, desires an...

Liberalism has crept into the church

Liberalism is a worldly ideology. It is because of this, that is has crept into the church in its "spiritualised" "christianised" form.  It works through fear of man that many in the modern church have. It is a trust in human "strength" and "wisdom", itself a failure to trust God. The root of it is pride, no matter how sincere or genuine it may be. It manifests itself in hyper-grace or hypocritical quoting of the catchphrase "I am a sinner" when one's heart is not really sincere. The root of liberalism is a lack of fear of God. It can work through all people, including sincere true Christians who would be considered 'conservative' by modern standards. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (Matthew 10:28).

How Mammon Causes Conflict and War (4): Hate and pride

Mammon causes people to be self-satisfied, not they they are satisfied for what they have, but that they have satisfied with having more than others. As such, mammon uses this pride to arouse envy, and covetousness in others. Envy and covetousness leads to all kinds of sin.    For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work (James 3:16). Such is demonic, earthly, sensual wisdom. This is contrast to godly, heavenly and spiritual wisdom from God. T he wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17).  Such wisdom produces the fruit of righteousness,  which comes from a heart of peace for " t he fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace " (James  3:18).  Double-mindedness is the opposite of integrity. Double-mindedness seeks to do the right thing only when it advantages oneself, not...

The Irony of Human Governments: Ordained by God, Servants of satan

One of the greatest ironies from the theological perspective is the role of government. Most, if not all governments are servants of satan because of their unrighteous works. However, despite governments being servants of satan, governments are God's earthly tools used to administer his Law.  Romans 13:1-2 says:    Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God .  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God : and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation . Thus, it is clear that governments are ordained by God; not merely tolerated by God, by given authority by God to ensure justice and righteousness. For he is the minister of God to thee for good . But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God , a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil (Romans 1:4).  Any authorit...

The Real Face of Democracy

Many people, both Christians and the unsaved, think that democracy is the best system of free society and just government. They think that democracy is closest to political utopia on Earth. However, this is far from the truth and demonstrates how satan comes as an "angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14).  The underlying philosophy of democracy is that human interests trump all other things. Human "rights". Human needs. Human "wisdom". Human philosophy. This elevates human beings above all things, treating humanity as a god when only God is Sovereign above all things. Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all [that is] in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.    Both riches and honour [come] of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand [is] power and might; and in thine hand [it is] to make great, and to give ...

Mammon works through Idolatry of One's Flesh

Mammon is so pervasive and deceptive that people under it think that requesting one's 'rights' to be respected is something basic and legitimate. That is exactly what the spirit of mammon wants people to think: that they have entitlements to things they perceive to need or want. As a result, it causes people to stop fully trusting that God will provide, and rely on one's human strength.  People under the spirit of mammon are deceived into thinking that there is nothing wrong with desire for earthly things, things of the world. Christians who are under the spirit of mammon justify this desire despite Jesus saying " what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world" (Mark 8:36), that God wants us to have our basic needs. While God does provide and His providence is enough, this is stated in a way by mammonised Christians to justify their lust for things of the world.  God does provide, but He does not have. Mammonised Christians treat God ...
