Fighting the Four Evils

Many Christians have criticised me of focusing on the spirit of mammon, on the false basis that it is a "minor" issue. Yet, they emphasise so much petty issues, such as cultural sensitivity to appear more friendly, and respectful to the world, in effect pandering to, issues that are only mere manifestations of things which can only be dealt with by changing the heart, such as making pornography illegal, institutionalised harloty, and human trafficking. As such these should not be focused on by the Church in terms of campaigning for laws.  The role of the Church is not to campaign for specific laws, but that of the government as ordained by God to uphold righteousness through the civil realm (Romans 13). Furthermore the laws that many Christians campaign for in a fight against such issues are earthly and fleshly. The world fights for liberty. It speaks and gives a kind of liberty that is sensual, earthly and demonic. It is of earthly, sensual and demonic wisdom as manifested in its wars, conflict and fights, as oppose to true peace.  True wisdom leads to peace (James 3:17-18). Worldly wisdom leads to war, conflict and fights. The spirit of mammon is behind the worldly wisdom of liberty, which feeds on envy and strife.  The spirit of mammon works through the worldly doctrine of liberty by feeding on the fleshly desire to act in one's way, thriving on envy and strife. This manifests in the envy and strife that people have towards those who they perceive in their eyes to have more earthly freedom and liberty than them. It explains why people lament the earthly freedom and liberty others have, admiring those who are more "liberated" than oneself is, and having worldly sorrow for those who are less "liberated" than oneself is.  The spirit of mammon in working through the ...

The world thinks that peace can be found by not being in conflict, or war with others. This is only partially true, and a very dangerous half-truth. While warring against others to seek one's own self-interests, such as financial resources, political power, or revenge is absolutely ungodly, warring to correct evil is not wrong, but righteous. Such as war is not one waged by the flesh, involving murdering humans, but by the Sword of the Word of God. Such war is an ideological one, seeking to attack false doctrines which opposed God: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). The world thinks that peace comes from tolerating all ways of life, thinking and actions including evil ones. Such is the spirit of earthliness and worldliness working through the world. Peace is a paradoxical concept. At one hand, Jesus said to His disciples that He gives peace as the world does not give (John 14:27). Yet, He said " Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword" (Matthew 10:34).  These two verses do not contradict. Not at all. The peace that Jesus gives is peace with God, which comes from being reconciled to Him, and no longer being hostile against God. Once a person is in Christ, he or she is united with God: Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.   What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.    But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit (1 Corinthians 6:15-17). The spirit behind all sins is faithlessness. All sins are from a failure to trust in God's Word, character and Moral Law. Such failure to trust God is the hatred of God by humanity. It is a vile sin. Faithless is the spirit behind usury, a failure to trust that God will provide, leading to enslavement to earthly finances. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because  he eateth  not of faith: for whatsoever  is  not of faith is sin (Romans 14:23).

And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke [him] to anger ( 2 Kings 21:6 ). The spirit of witchcraft throughout the Bible has been associated with child sacrifice. She works through murder, seeking both physical and spiritual death of the masses. She works through bitterness, which leads to hate, that which is murder in God's eyes. She baits people into sin, and uses this to justify murder and hate. 

Another reason the world hates the poor is that the poor remind them of their emptiness without God. Many people today are working so hard just to pay off their debts, in order to enjoy earthly luxury or comfort. The manner of spirit in which they act is in the spirit of anxiety to obtain their so-called "basic" earthly needs. If a person loses his job today, his family is most likely to be a high risk of facing a foreclosure, which leads to homelessness. Such is the spirit of the modern world. It is true that on one hand, anxiety comes from pride in the heart. However, the role of the devil and the spirit of mammon, who is  a real demon play cannot be neglected. They actively seek to tempt all people every day into anxiety for earthly things. You may argue that sin does not come from evil spirits, but the heart. This is true. There are many things that are wicked, no doubt. However, abortion is perhaps the most wicked thing one can do because nothing expresses more hatred of sexual purity, the orphan, needy and defenceless than abortion. Many people, even within the church have a desire for earthly affection. So, what is earthly affection? Earthly affection is that which concerns the things of this world - lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life (1 John 2:16). Earthly affection is against all the characteristics of God's love.  Earthly affection is not merely a desire to love and to love. Even the unsaved wicked vile sinners are capable of earthly affection. That the unsaved wicked vile people are capable of doing this itself indicates that there is something wrong with earthly affection. If vile wicked humans are capable of something "good", there must be something evil impure and vile about it. That is precisely what earthly affection is. The unsaved can indeed do "good" things like fighting abortion. There are many in the pro-life movement who are enemies of God. Preacher Derek Prince once said that witchcraft is the universal religion of rebellion. Witchcraft is of a spirit which works through those who seek power outside of God. To power outside of God is rebellion for it is to deny the legitimate liberty and authority God gives to humans. It is to defy God. Where there is rebellion against God or human authorities ordained by God such as government, employers or husbands, there is witchcraft. 

The modern Western world is a postmodernist one, one which absolutely rejects the belief in any truth. It redefines truth which has lead to the politicisation of morality. As a result, morality is defined according personal self-interests. Anything which opposes or even questions one’s self-interests is abhorred as ‘immoral’ or ‘unethical’. It is no wonder the modern sociological definitions of violence have not been far from controversy. The very word ‘violence’ is enough to stop the heartbeat of the modern-minded person. The modern-minded person, upon hearing the word violence thinks immediately of violence against women or religious violence. Almost never do people think of violent high-impact sports as violence in itself. They acknowledge that such sports may be violent or may turn violent, but never do they call it for what it is: violent bloodlust. Very rarely does the modern mind think of violence to be suffered by those in the most highly celebrated sports such as rugb...

The African Savannah was one of the most dangerous places in the natural world, if not the most dangerous place. It was sweltering hot during the day all year, and chillingly cold at night all year, for the African Savannah was the desert.  The animals that lived in the Savannah had their ways of surviving in such a harsh, hostile environment. They all learned their ways, which were passed down from generation to generation. Any animal that was too weak or feeble had no chance of survival: the rule was that whoever was stronger would destroy, or eat the week. Such is survival of the fittest. There was no point of helping the feeble or weak, because, in the minds of the animals that lived in the Savannah, they were destined to die in such a way.  Whoever had control over the African Savannah controlled the whole land. The Bible makes it clear that satan is the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44). Satan lied to Eve, and deceived her. As a result of being seduced by satan's lies, Adam and Eve brought death to the whole world by sin.  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12). Every lie, murder or hatred, which Jesus said to be murder (1 John 3:15) is of the devil. Every war in history involves lies, hatred and murder. Wars are based on lies, used to deceive people into thinking they are justified in killing people, and use murder to take away life.
