The Oppressed Daughter Syndrome and its Demonic Binding Powers

There is a phenomenon called the 'oppressed daughter syndrome'. It is a real syndrome and is not only that which has a spiritual dimension, but is demonic in nature. It is therefore an important issue to address from a Christian perspective, as is the case with all kinds of oppression. The  'oppressed daughter syndrome' manifests in all kinds of symptoms, such as shyness, a lack of healthy self-respect, lack of confidence, forced career choices, rushed marriages, marital distress, especially loveless marriage, and hyper-conservativism and hyper-traditionalism, and lack of an ability to reach one's full God-given potential, and hence destiny in accordance to the Will of God, which is to know God and glory Him in all one does. One salient characteristic of such a woman is that she is shy to the extreme. By shy, I am not saying quiet and gentle as a woman should be, but rather, severely lacking courage and confidence. Everything she does is marked by a lack of cour...

A Vision from the Lord about Bondage owing to Marriage

The following is a vision that the Lord gave me on Thursday 25 April 2019 while I was taking a nap: I had a vision during dusk during my nap. I saw two images. The first image was of a man and a woman lovingly and freely embracing each other, lip-locked, and most significantly without a cord wrapped around them to bind them together. They were bound together in one flesh. The second image showed a man and a woman with a cord wrapped around them both to bind them together. Unlike in the first image, they were neither embracing each other at all, nor lip-locked. The expression on their faces was one of anger, bitterness, sadness, pain, frustration or upset - anything but joy and peace. Despite the cord wrapped around them both, they were still not bound together in one flesh. They were still separate from each other, despite being wedded to each other.  The Lord told me that most marriages are like that of the second image where the husband and wife are supposed to be one flesh b...

Beware Legalistic Doctrine Which is a Snare and Puts People in Spiritual Bondage

There are many teachers who claim to be Christians and who teach about Christian living. Many of them teach specific target audiences, and how certain areas of Christian living such be done, such as work, marriage, child-rearing and child discipline. However, many of these teachers impose specific rules which are not found in the Bible as to how people should live or not live. As a result, they claim that the Bible teaches something when it does not, and are therefore in error. Such spiritual error is dangerous because it will hold people in bondage to false teaching. Examples of false teaching include the teaching that ministry work is more holy, righteous, and God-glorifying that non-ministry work, that people must enter full-time ministry work if they are unmarried, that women cannot be called to work in certain arenas like business and academia, and that people must marry and have a family to holy and righteous. Such teaching is either explicit and implicit in many churches and...

Why So Many Professing Followers of Christ are Angry and Bitter at God

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm 37:4). God created you for a unique purpose that only you can fulfil successfully.   No one else can fulfil it. He will give you all that you need to fulfil your calling that He has called you to.  You may be at a season in your life where everything seems dry, or that nothing which excites you is happening in your life. If that is what you are experiencing in your life, God is preparing you for something greater. He wants you to wait on Him expectantly, patiently, but not desperately.  If you are waiting on God for something desperately, it means that your desire for what you are waiting on God for is your own desire, and not a desire God has placed in your heart. The desires in your heart, and the only desires that God will give you, are those which He has placed in your heart. Psalm 37:4 says “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires o...

Portrait of a False Convert

A false convert, if nothing else, seeks Jesus for what he can get from Jesus. He does not seek Jesus because He is Lord of Lords, King of all Kings and therefore be a worshiped and obeyed in all things. A false convert prays for all kinds of earthly "blessings" to be bestowed upon him, and "obeys" Jesus only when it is easy, convenient or gives him a benefit.  A true convert seeks Jesus because He is Jesus. He truly loves Jesus and is intimate with Jesus.  He submits all things to Jesus, obey Him as the Head of the Church, who is His body. He entrusts all things to Jesus, and lets Him make the choice in all things, and initiate all things in his life. He waits on God for all things in humility and obedience, not simply because it is logical or because he wants something. The false convert is like the Rich Young Ruler described in Mark 10:17-22. He comes to Jesus looking for the rewards, but does not truly want to give his whole life to Jesus, where all things ar...

The Sovereignty and Wisdom of God's Timing in Every Season

Many people in the modern western Church claim to believe in God's Sovereignty. However, actually believing in God's Sovereignty in one's heart, and not one's intellect is a different matter.  How many people in the modern Church today wait on the Lord in finding a job, finding a church, finding a wife, or finding anything? Hardly any. Instead, they profess to believe in God's Sovereignty, but do not wait on the Lord. Instead of waiting patiently, they let their passions flow, and drive them to get what they want. Many of such people earnestly claim to ask God to lead them to do His Will. However, most people in saying that have already made up their mind as they want they want to do to satisfy their own desires, rather than simply follow the will of God.  When disappointed, they seek to manipulate God into asking Him to giving them what they want, as if God could even be manipulated by a mere puny pathetic little human being who is like grass (Psalm 103:15; 1 P...

The Prosperous Vain Life

A man is born Growing up and maturing With dreams and aspirations; Seeking to pursue his dreams Single-minded in his own dreams, Full of ambition For prosperity and security. He toils all day and night In all his pursuits; Day by day he toils Improving himself for his own glory Until he succeeds. A successful man became, Gaining much wealth, a loving family, and many friends. "Why" he asks, "do I feel so empty inside?" Having everything yet nothing; Having so much, yet so little; Having all things, but yet nothing; Having wealth, but yet poverty For he seeks not God But his own dreams and visions His own prosperity and security; Hating the Lord God who gave him his life, And every single breath. Old age comes, His wealth becoming scarce, Family members and friends Decease one by one. He asks, "what is the point of life?" All is but an illusion Man is nothing but an actor on a stage And like grass That grows up tall, and...

The spirit of Witchcraft uses Debt to Oppress those who Cannot Repay

Debt is a game embraced by the rich of the world, that is, those who have at least some. Debt, indeed, is a plaything of the rich used to oppress the poor, those who cannot repay. GK Chesterton once said in his classic book Utopia of Usurers and other Essays that: " Everyone knows that the people who can least pay their debts are the people who are always trying to. Among the poor a payment may be as rash as a speculation. Among the rich a bankruptcy may be as safe as a bank. Considering the class from which private soldiers are taken, there is an atrocious meanness in the idea of buying their blood abroad, while we sell their sticks at home ". That debt even exists is itself an indictment to the world, both the poor and the rich, those who have none and those who have some, both the borrower and the lender. It is an indictment to the world. People have to borrow money because people choose to treat what they possess as belonging to them, as individuals when all thi...
