Fighting the Four Evils

Modern western society loves to talk about "justice" and gets involved in all kinds of activism to fight for what it calls "justice".  It claims to hate violence and care for children, yet thinks that slaughtering babies in the womb a woman's "right", "choice", a human "right", "healthcare" or "convenience". It claims to believe in human dignity, but yet thinks that pornography is acceptable.  Even if a person in modern society hates pornography for its disrespect of human dignity, it hates it only for selfish reasons, but yet thinks that 'erotica' is acceptable because it is "respectful". It selects the type of pornography it thinks to be acceptable, as if the morality and ethics of pornography depends on the situation.  This is a manifestation of double-mindedness, in wanting to select what moral principles one wants to believe in to justify one's own sins.   We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one (1 John 5:19). The world loves the idea of its so-called "rights", and loves to fight for them. The world, as 1 John 5:19 is under the power of satan, that vile, serpent whose works Christ came to destroy (1 John 3:8) and who Christ has defeated by defeating sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:55-57): He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).   O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Many in the modern western Church think that equality is a legitimate, wholesome doctrine. It is a doctrine that is inculcated in the westerner, whether saved or unsaved. It is the DNA of west, unquestionably undeniable and true in the mind of the average westerner. Many in the west, in thinking they are superior to other cultures because of their "civilised", "sophisticated", and "enlightened" belief in so-called equality, criticise harshly the cultures which do not believe in equality, or emphasis equality and individual rights. They think that all the social problems in the non-western world are caused by the lack of such as belief. This is evidenced by the approach that western charities, both Christian and non-Christian, to helping the poor - by increasing "equality" between people, and seeking to help advance individual "rights" of the more need people.  This is based on a very subtle deception, that in order to help people,...

Many in the modern western Church think that the idea of "rights" is compatible with Christianity. This merely just testifies the the self-entitlement many in the modern western Church have. They think that their "rights" are God-given. No! God gives grace, not "rights". It is because all good things that God gives grace, that there is no such thing as a "right".  A "right" is a claim to be legitimately entitled to something. None of us humans are entitled to anything in the true, spiritual sense. We may have legal "rights", however, such legal rights are a mere illusion for the law of a nation is not the Truth, but Christ is. Thus, forget about your 'legal rights' for they are a mere illusion, fleeting and worthless in Eternity.  'Legal rights' are merely a social construct. The world thinks that its peace is true peace, or would like to think it is. They want to think that the evil things they love will give them peace, not because of intellectual ignorance, but because of their love of the world and hatred of God, manifesting itself as faithlessness.   The modern Church is very much influenced by the world, not because of the world, which can but only promote its godlessness, lovelessness and faithlessness. No. It is because the Church has allowed itself to be influenced by the world, in ways that it does not even realise that it is weak, useless to God and irrelevant to the world - not because it is the world's fault, but the Church's own fault. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). The world speaks about peace, when it is not for peace. It may claim that it is, but it can never be for peace - true peace. When it speaks for peace, it speaks of peace for itself, and war against its enemies. The world does give a type of peace as Jesus refers to as peace that the 'world giveth' (John 14:27), but its peace is one that is earthly, fleshly and worldly. It gives false peace to the flesh, which is satisfied by such peace, only as long as the source of peace still exists.  The world's peace is peace that all earthly things that a person has are well; the person has a well-paying job, a family which cares for her, a comfortable home, a nice car, equal rights with any other citizen, 'human rights' protected by her government and social security benefits. Many people, including many in the modern Church, believe in "rights". There is no such thing as a right for none of us deserve anything at all whatsover. We deserve nothing but to BURN IN HELL FOR AN ETERNITY! Do you still you have rights, knowing this to be the case? You may argue that you deny your "rights" but care for those of others. Whether it is their "rights" or the "rights" of others is irrelevant because no one even has any rights in the first place. Every good thing we have is a gift from God (James 1:17).  Do you know what you believe in "rights"? It is the pride of life and lust of the flesh. You have not fully submitted to God in this area of your life. You are under the spirit of mammon who is seeking to feed on the flesh (no pun intended) of your anxiety for earthly things, including things like respect and care from others, which you think you "deserve" but do not.  Belief in "rights" is itsel...

Everyone is concerned about justice. However, many use term as some high-sound word as part of vain worldly philosophy. Just as there are two kinds of wisdom, and two kinds of sorrow, there are two kinds of justice: worldly justice and godly. Worldly justice is a kind of justice - it is false, earthly, sensual and demonic. Godly justice is the true kind - it is peaceable, rejoices in truth, impartial and has no hypocrisy.  Worldly justice aims to satisfy human self-interests, that which is of the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life. It is not concerned with truth, but seeks to blame people who are perceived to be the cause of all social problems in the world for all evils. Such people are blamed for being the perpetrators of the evil when they are victims, and assumed automatically to be perpetrators on the grounds of their so-called "social status". Such people are treated as though evils in the world should be 'rightfully' and 'justly' ...

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow (Isaiah 1:17). The world is capable of nothing good. It is only capable of twisting good things such as seeking justice, correcting oppression and equity into ways that distort their meaning to make them perverse. Such perversion is a stench to the nostrils of God. While it is true that all unsaved people are under the wrath of God no matter how 'moral', some of incur much more wrath than others and God's hostility against them is greater than His hostility towards others. That the natural person is not capable of good is exactly why God commands people to seek justice and correct oppression.  Many Christians fail miserably when dealing with the twisting of good that they witness around them. This is the phrase that is repeated throughout the book of Ecclesiastes. The book of Ecclesiastes opens with this phrase, and ends with this phrase before concluding at Ecclesiastes 12:13-14:  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.   For God shall bring every work into judgment , with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil . Ecclesiastes is a book that has the effect of making one wiser and sharper by just reading it.
