The Heart of all Heresy is Rebellion

Heresy is often defined as simply 'error' and classified more or less as 'theological heresy' and 'moral heresy'. However, heresy is more than that. It is rebellion. That is the heart of all heresy. All rebellion leads to illegitimate authority and a lust for power. For heretics not only seek to justify themselves, but also want to have the power to do so. They seek to use the Law of God which has a spiritual power, and manipulate and twist it, to justify their evil. Show me a heresiarch, and I will show you a person full of rebellion, and all kinds of lust, not least, the lust of power.   Rebellion is not simply about going against God, though that is certainly what it is. It is driven by lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, combined together with the desire to justify one's theology.  This attempt to justify one's own theology is precisely the problem - one seeks to define the truth, and not only that, manipulate God when o...

The Wickedness of Heretics and their Heresies

At the essence of heresy is rebellion, leading to confusion, and not the other way round in being confusion in essence, leading to rebellion owing to ignorance. Rebellion is always at the heart of all heresy. Heretics believe in their heresy because of their rebellion against God. Such rebellion is not mere rebellion, but arrogant rebellion which not only loves sin, but loves to challenge the authority of God, in not only who He is, but also His Word, and ultimately, His Lordship. For that is what rebellion ultimately seeks to oppose, and to usurp the Lordship of God over one's life so that one can exercise one's own lordship over one's life. Heresies are of two kinds:  1. Theological heresy  - that which denies or distorts any aspect of the Nature of God. 2. Moral heresy - that which denies, opposes, compromises on, or qualifies any Commandment of Jesus Christ in any way, shape or form. A person may affirm all the true doctrines of the Trinity and Salvation, includi...

Earthly Happiness is False Joy and Nothing but an Illusion

Many people love to boast about the things that they have which everyone seeks after but do not have, whatever it may be. They boast and their boasting makes people feel uncomfortable, upset or envious. The reason people feel that way is because people not only seek after earthly happiness.  Earthly happiness is that which people find security. People derive their earthly happiness from not only the earthly temporal things they have, but also their security. That is why people feel uncomfortable, upset or covetous when seeing others also have what they have and find their security in. The earthly happiness people have is not true joy. The nature of joy is that it is supernatural. It is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Since joy is a fruit of the spirit, it does not and cannot come from the flesh. For as the Scriptures say: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.   For to be c...

Lust is Itself the Desire to Satisfy Oneself

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart (Matthew 5:28). For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world (1 John 2:16). There is a spirit of lust which has come into the Church, and is spreading through the Church. It has come. This is evident in people being obsessed with money, sex and power, constantly talking about such things, as well as judging a person's blessedness based on how much of these things they enjoy.  Disturbingly, there are not few professing Christians who insist that lust is only an "excessive" desire for things that do not belong to oneself. This definition is typically used by professing married 'christians' who have an uncontrollable lust for sex, for which they use marriage to justify, and who are scared of people stealing their spouses, out of their own s...

Christianity is Not a Pacifist Religion

Modern Christianity is very different from the Christianity of the early Church and the Middle Ages. Modern Christianity has become a weak, pacified religion that is full of the fear of people, and scared of confronting people.  Instead of challenging and defying the world on its wicked evil ways, it seeks to conceal its righteous ways out of fear of what the unsaved think, and fails to speak what God says on their wicked ways in a plain and simple ways. Rather, they seek to pander to their sympathies, trying to convince them of righteousness by appealing to moral arguments from the world itself. For example, it seeks to convince people that abortion is wrong because it "hurts" women, rather than because it is murder and a sin in the eyes of God. It seeks to convince people that homosexual marriage is wrong because it leaves children and women vulnerable, rather than because homosexuality itself is sin in the eyes of God.  The modern Church in the west calls sin anything ...

Christ is the ONLY and ULTIMATE Blessing

Many in the modern Church think that they are so "blessed" because they have a house, spouse, car, dream career, take regular holidays and have plenty of disposable income. That itself a tragic indictment of the Church. What do all these things mean if you live a life not worthy of Christ? Nothing. It is just vanity of vanities. These things where they tempt you to love the world, or your own life more than Christ are just curses to you. None of these things are blessings in themselves. They may be manifestations of God's favour, but they are not in and of themselves blessings. It is Jesus who is not only the ultimate blessing, but the only one. Without using all that God graciously bestows upon you for Jesus Christ, to serve Christ and your fellow man, all the so-called "blessings" you have are not blessings. They are just empty vain curses. Your own very life is just vanity of vanities, a vain curse to you where it is not worthy of Christ. For God gave y...

Ethnocentrism and Ethnonationalism are of the spirit of Division, Strife and War

All types of division between humanity, the greatest cause of division is ethnicity, bar none.  Ethnocentrism is the cause of most wars. It is also that which units a country together, and prevents it from being divided, where people choose not to be divided but united because of their ethnicity. Likewise, in the most perverted of ways, where people are of different ethnicities, and where there is political turmoil, or where a country cannot sustain itself being resource-poor, people are divided along the lines of ethnicity, and separate from each other over ethnicity. Such is perversion. It is the evil manifestation of strife, division and war. People love others, or refraining from hating others, because of their ethnicity, being the same as their "own". People hate others, full of indifference towards their suffering, hardship, and oppression, because of their ethnicity, being different from their "own". Even in our times, which is often touted as very cosm...

How to Kill Envy and Jealousy

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live (Romans 8:13). Jealousy and envy are the most pervasive sins. They are the sins which literally every person commits, including 'moral and decent' people who do not indulge in sexual immorality, live lifestyles of crass materialism, and practice drunkenness. Such things are vile sins and deserve death, but so are jealousy and envy, which are sins of the flesh: Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry (Colossians 3:5) Just like the sins of sexual immorality, one must put to death jealousy and envy, or else one will die and go to Hell. The Bible commands us to put to death the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13). So, how can one put to death the sin of jealousy and envy? 1.  Wholeheartedly pursue God and His Kingdom, and not your ow...
