The Tyranny of the Heretical Evangelical Cult of ‘Marriage and Family’

The evangelical church is always talking about marriage and family, constantly berating people who are still not married by a certain age for not having managed to marry by that age. It is constantly cajoling them to get married.    Anyone who is not married past a certain age is seen as selfish, ungodly, unholy, unrighteous, and even, in some cases, is assumed to be a homosexual, a fornicator, a pornography addict or a masturbation addict, just by virtue of being single. Apart from the fact that these are offensively crass assumptions about all singles, including single Christians, the fact that such assumptions are being made is the symptom of a more serious problem, which is that of the idolatry of marriage and family. The vicious lies that are constantly told about singles in the Church are only the surface of the tyrannical evangelical cult of marriage and family. Marriage and family are now the idols of the modern ev...

Why the spirit of Mammon and the Prosperity "gospel" is Far More Dangerous and Perverse than You think

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. (2 Peter 2:1-3)  There are many prosperity teachers who have arisen today. They are all around us and are destroying many, leading them to Hell. Many genuine Church teachers, preachers and pastors, while acknowledging their wickedness, simply dismiss them and do nothing to counter them. However, this is not a sufficient or adequate response. For these false teachers who preach the prosperity "gospel", in either its more obvious or subtle form, are extremely dangerous....

Borrowing money to build a church “Needed to Worship God” says Evangelical Leader

Brisbane, Queensland A local church leader* in Brisbane, Australia, has told his congregation that he needs to borrow money to build a church. While it is not clear how much has been borrowed, the act of borrowing itself has come under fire, in light of a new campaign which seeks to teach Christians about Biblical finance, especially about churches and Christians getting into debt. The rebuke by the movement to teach Christians about proper Biblical finance has stirred up much outcry by the movement, led mainly by modern evangelicals, to build more church buildings to ‘advance the Kingdom of God’.  Some, in particular the leader’s own congregation has supported the move, despite the prospect of each member being in debt himself or herself. “Even though the idea of being in debt to fund one’s endeavours is a secular financial idea, that doesn’t mean it is a bad thing”, one supporter said. “We have the money, and God’s grace is sufficient. He lets us borrow money fro...

To Truly Love God is to Lay up Treasures in Heaven for His Sake and His Sake Alone, Not for One's own sake at all

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Matthew 6:19-21). Jesus makes it very clear that where one's treasure is, there will be one's heart (Matthew 6:21). The statement " where your treasure is, there will your heart be also " is preceded by the word 'for'. This means that Matthew 6:21 is a conclusion which derives from the previous verses. In Matthew 6:19-20, Jesus is commanding people to lay up treasures in heaven,  instead of laying up treasures on earth. He explains why in Matthew 6:21, which says "for where you treasure is, there will your heart be also". This is not saying that a person who seek to gain for himself, whether it be earthly riches, or heavenly...

The spirit behind the Poverty "Gospel" is the same spirit of mammon behind the Prosperity "Gospel"

The prosperity "gospel" is a truly evil doctrine. Many people who attend false apostate "churches" do not realise that they do because they cannot discern it. Many contemporary local churches which are Biblical, orthodox and evangelical, sometimes lean towards it in the way they preach or think about God's provision, wealth and abundance.  Many in the modern Church, that is 21st century Christendom as a whole, often speak about how God has "blessed" them with material things, happily and smugly receiving what God has given to them out of His grace and His grace alone, whether it be a house, car, job, holiday or leisure time. Little do they realise that this thinking, although not what is called the prosperity "gospel" itself, are adopting exactly the same mindset as those who espouse and preach what so many in the modern "Church" denounce" as the prosperity "gospel".  They denounce it, but yet have a mindset that is...

The False Doctrine of Material Blessings

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased (Psalm 115:3). Many in the modern Church, especially the modern American Protestant Church, think that material abundance are what God blesses those who obey Him with. Some of these people even think that God blesses those who obey Him with their basic needs, because He is "obliged" to. What disgusting, vile, abominable blasphemy! This is a blasphemous doctrine, a doctrine of demons that has infiltrated the modern Church, especially among Protestant calvinist circles. The reason for such thinking is because the hearts thinks that one need not give up all to God and fully surrender to Him. Plain and simply. Such a heart, thinks that God is not Sovereign and somewhat subject to one's own needs. Such is damnable heresy.  The typical modern Christian will claim he does not think that, but he does. He thinks that in his heart. This is manifested by his actions, treating God as He who is obliged to giv...

"I can seek my needs and serve God at the same time". To Hell with your vile, disgusting, abominable double-minded lukewarmness!

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:7-8). He who lives by the flesh is dead in his sins, not merely in a dead sleep, or a coma in his sins, but dead. He is a corpse, with no hope of being alive, but for the grace, mercy and power of God (Ephesians 2:1; Colossians 2:13).  The flesh itself is dead towards God. That is why it means to be put it death. If anyone wants to walk with God, he needs to kill the flesh, not merely suppress it. The flesh needs to be put it to death, stoning it to death with all ruthlessness, mercilessness and zealousness.  Setting one's mind on one's earthly needs is itself to feed the flesh. Yes, even seeking one's basic earthly needs is itself to feed the flesh. It is to not full trust in God's Provision.  This manifests in not seeking first the righteousness of God. Jesus said: Therefore take no thou...
