The Modern western Church gives the world an Excuse to Blaspheme God by its Hypocritical Mammonisation

It is truly a baffling irony that a person can speak about the need to be holy and righteous in the sight of God, but yet, when it comes to the issue of money, wealth and mammon, he treats the issue with literally postmodernistic thinking; claiming that God allows him to do as he chooses with his money because it is his own. This indeed is the mindset of many true converts who are strict in holiness in all areas of life, that is, all area except for that of money. Indeed, the typical modern Christian thinks that the issue of money, wealth and mammon is not a big deal, if at all an issue in living his life. One professing Christian even had the audacity, the vile, abominable, despicable, disgusting, blasphemous, evil, absolutely loathsome, wrath-deserving audacity to say that the issue of mammon, which is money and wealth, as he intended to mean, is only a minor issue. What disgusting, abominable, vile blasphemy! Such is the spiritual adultery of the modern Church, seeking to be frien...

Why the modern western Church just Can't See Usury for what it is: Sin

Many unsaved people from different cultures, religions and nations can see usury for what it is: sin. Many non-western Christians can also see usury for what it is: sin. Yet, many in the modern western Church, that is, westerner Christians, cannot see usury for what it is - the so-called more 'enlightened' western Christians who think they are more enlightened, though they do not put it that way, because they embrace the values of "rights", "liberty" and "equality".  They are proud of themselves for believing in the "rights" of the oppressed, poor and needy, feeling carnal sympathy towards them, and not love, on the grounds that they have less earthly material things, which really have no value at all.  They are proud of believing in civil 'liberty', in the name of "tolerance". They are not only all to eager to show that they do not "impose their views on others". They compromise with sin, thinking they are...

How Unforgiveness is justified by the Humanistic view of Sin. To Hell with your complaints about feeling "offended"!

The modern world is an unforgiving one, full of hatred and unforgiveness, thinking that anything that personally offends oneself is itself evil. The typical modern person thinks that what he or she thinks determines what is true and right. Such thinking has influenced even the modern Church. The heart of such thinking is not only self-centred and foolish. It is evil vile thinking that feeds on unforgiveness. Many Australian Christians such as modern evangelicals think that whenever a person offends him personally, say, by the use of certain non-profane words, which he just thinks is "offensive" to him personally, it is a sin. Such is the self-indulgent narcissism of many in the modern Church. Such is the spirit of unforgiveness, seeking to twist the Bible verses which speak being in a gentle spirit of manner to justify one's feeling of being personally offended out of one's own narcissism. I have met such people before who I believe are true converts, who are a snar...

Earthly thinking in the church

Much of the modern church has been influenced by earthly thinking. The main philosophies it has accepted and practices are pragmatism, pluralism and postmodernism - all without even realising it. An example of pragmatism is telling a person who insists on open-air preaching that one should just invite one's friends (yes, only one's friends) to Bible study. A modern evangelical who I know is opposed to open-air preaching as if open-air preaching was a damnable abominable sin. He speaks about his "opposition" to open-air preaching as if it was an evil thing.  Not only does he say he prefers not open-air preaching, but vehemently opposes it like an abortion abolitionist opposing abortion.  When confronted with the analogy of the millions of people headed for Hell to be like hunger-struck masses who have no food and will die, he just had to use the analogy of handing water in a nice glass to thirsty masses! That would take a long time and most would probably die of thir...

"That's just your opinion"

Many in the modern church, and as it seems, modern evangelicals, claim that they are opposed to postmodernism. However, one's opposition to something does not mean one cannot be influenced by it. A modern evangelical who I know tells me that my Biblical exposition of certain issues are just "your view". Nothing makes me more annoyed and vexed than this. He has vexed my spirit, not just merely discouraged me or make me feel overburdened, which he himself dares acknowledge this to me with his rules of how to speak to an "Australian" as if there were special rules for speaking to Australians because they are Australians.  He gives empty apologies for his discouragement of evangelism, while yet denigrating me, saying "it would be sad if you thought you were pastoring" when I have been really trying to expose false doctrines and unbiblical practices, such as what he keeps on trying to impose on me and make me feel guilty for. He castigates me for my ...

Today's Weeping Prophets: A Fragrance of Life and a Fragrance of Death from Tony Miano

Today, many Christian pastors, elders, and laypeople believe open-air preaching is passe, sociably unacceptable, and ineffective. Yet no biblical or historical argument can be made against the practice. None. At best the argument against open-air preaching is a philosophical, and pragmatic one with the majority, negative opinion of today's evangelicals about the subject built upon the sandy foundation of personal preference. Some argue open-air preaching is unloving, if not in the content in the tone with which the message is conveyed. Some argue that those who engage in open-air preaching lack love because they do not take the time to establish relationships with those they are trying to reach. These arguments are subjective at best and, at worst, a bit prideful. It is prideful, even arrogant, for one Christian to assert he or she is more loving than the open-air preacher because the open-air preacher does not engage in evangelism with the same tone of voice, or with the same emph...

The Spirit of Fear has Crept into the Church

Many of the modern church think they are not legalistic and very gracious. They think that they are very kind and caring. Such an attitude is reflected in their dogmatic, and sometimes vehement insistence of being “culturally sensitive” in evangelism. The Gospel is never culturally appropriate as the unsaved are all haters of God. Thus, true proper and Biblical evangelism, in no matter what form, will never be culturally appropriate.  Never! However, the Christian should not be discouraged by this. Rather, he or she should be encouraged by this. Many modern evangelicals like to separate “methods” of evangelism and the Gospel as two discrete things, thinking that the “method” is important and plays a role in the salvation of the person. They like to tell people who preach the Law and Gospel, especially those who use the Way of the Master “method”, that the Way of the Master “method” is “offensive” to people and culturally inappropriate, as if “method” matters and contributes to...

"Cultural sensitivity" training

Many workers now need to undergo "cultural sensitivity" training to understand how to "care" for the cultural values of others. Such is the humanistic spirit which thinks it is 'secular sin' of heresy to make others feel upset about their "alternative" lifestyles which may include homosexuality or pagan rituals such as child-sacrifice. This false doctrine has crept into the modern church which imposes what it sees of 'culturally appropriate' ways to share the Gospel. The truth is that there are no culturally appropriate ways to do so, because  the Gospel is offensive to the proud, rebellious, Hell-deserving sinners who are dying all around us. The church should just stop the in-fighting about "methods" of sharing the Gospel and just preach it.  Do not listen to what modern evangelicals say about culturally sensitivity. Ignore them. They are like the firefighters who fiddle over what type of hose to use and tell other firefig...

Zeal for God

Much of the zeal I lot for evangelism was because of someone from a campus ministry who vexed my spirit in telling me that using the Law of God is wrong. He knows who he is. I now have to seek to regain the zeal, much of it through anger directed at this particular person. He has vexed my spirit and yet asks "why are you so angry?". Such is a condescending question, that which is only asked for those whom are angry at nothing. However, this is a case of being angry at something. He now pays by having to endure the effects of a vexed spirit that he caused. He even criticises my zeal, saying it is "worrying". Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel , while he was zealous for my sake among them , that I c onsumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy (Numbers 25:11). Example of postmodern thinking in the church

One modern evangelical who I have and will continue to cut off all contact with wrote a reply to what he perceived to be offensive report of facts. Such is the postmodern thinking that has crept into the church. Look at how arrogantly he said ‘let   me   quote one of your recent emails and show how I and I’m sure many others receive it’, assuming that his opinion and that of others matter. Look at how perverse he had to be by highlighting his responses, as if I was blind. That is why I will not talk to him ever again. My response to his response is in light blue. I have shown the parts of his comments which reveal his mere opinion in red. The email from the person with his comments interspersed and by reply to his comments in blue: To demonstrate how you are heard, let   me   qu ote one of your recent emails and show how I and I’m sure many others receive it. My responses (in terms of what I’m thinking as I read your email) are the highlighted bits: Many...
