Heresy: The Greatest Sin of Rebellion

Heresy is often thought to be simply any doctrine that deviates from the true doctrines about Jesus. While doctrines that deviate from the true doctrine about Jesus is certainly heretical, that is only an example of heresy. Such an understanding of heresy misunderstands the real essence and the nature of heresy itself.    Heresy is in essence, rebellion against God. It is the exercise of illegitimate authority against God through the perversion of doctrine. For in such doctrine is borne out of rebellion against God itself, a hatred of God, in particular, a love for that which is carnal. Jude 1:8-19 sums up the nature of heretics:  Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.  Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”  But these speak evil of whatever they do not know...

The Fundamentals of the Christian Faith: A Call to Christian Militancy

The Christian faith is militant, bold, and unapologetic. Scripture has a wealth of evidence that shows that this is so. Jesus said: “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.   For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’;   and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household' (Matthew 10:34-36). He also said: " “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me" (Matthew 16:24).  These commands by Jesus shows that He expects nothing less than total and absolute sacrifice for Him, as followers of Jesus, nothing but a total surrender of one's life for Him, following His Commands. For Jesus said " If you love Me, keep My commandments" (John 14:15). This does not mean to keep His Commands in a legalistic way, by simply keeping rules as religious people make it out to be,...

The spirit of Religion Loves Power and Authority and Desires to Manipulate, Intimidate and Dominate those who Oppose it

The spirit of religion is a spirit that loves power and authority. It loves to manipulate, intimidate and dominate people. It is the spirit of religion working through the pharisees that they constantly sought to trap him ( manipulation ) (Matthew 16:1; 19:3; 22:17-18, 35-36; Mark 12:13-15; Luke 10:25; 11:53-54; John 8:3-6), threatened to kill him multiple times ( intimidation ) (John 8:56-59; 10:30-33) and finally, accused Him of wickedness to murder him ( domination ) (Matthew 26:65-66).  The spirit of religion is truly a vile spirit that hardly anyone talks about because people can hardly perceive him. They cannot perceive him because many professing Christians sadly are under the spirit of religion and do not realise it. The spirit of religion is a spirit from one which one must be delivered from immediately because it is vile, wicked and absolutely diabolical.  The spirit of religion is full of corruption, because it follows the flesh, and the flesh reaps nothing but ...

Earthly Happiness is False Joy and Nothing but an Illusion

Many people love to boast about the things that they have which everyone seeks after but do not have, whatever it may be. They boast and their boasting makes people feel uncomfortable, upset or envious. The reason people feel that way is because people not only seek after earthly happiness.  Earthly happiness is that which people find security. People derive their earthly happiness from not only the earthly temporal things they have, but also their security. That is why people feel uncomfortable, upset or covetous when seeing others also have what they have and find their security in. The earthly happiness people have is not true joy. The nature of joy is that it is supernatural. It is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Since joy is a fruit of the spirit, it does not and cannot come from the flesh. For as the Scriptures say: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.   For to be c...

Beware of any professing Teacher who does not Preach Jesus Christ

There are many professing teachers of the Word of God, who claim to serve God. 1 Peter 2:1-2 warns: But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. Indeed, there are many false teachers who claim to be servants of God but are really just servants of the devil. Anyone who has heard the teachings of many different teachers will have encountered a false teacher.   The purpose of a teacher is to edify the body of Christ so that she may come into the knowledge of Christ in the fullness of Christ: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;   For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of ...

Why Many Who Try to Enter The Narrow Gate CANNOT Enter

Jesus told people to " Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able " (L uke 13:24). This teaching of Jesus is truly a frightening one. He said that many of those who professing to follow Him will not be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. When they knock on the door, asking Him to open the door to them, and expecting Him to welcome them, only to find out that He tells them to depart for they are workers of iniquity: When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. (Luke 13:25-27). This is truly frightening.  ...
