Many in the modern western Church think that the idea of "rights" is compatible with Christianity. This merely just testifies the the self-entitlement many in the modern western Church have. They think that their "rights" are God-given. No! God gives grace, not "rights". It is because all good things that God gives grace, that there is no such thing as a "right".
A "right" is a claim to be legitimately entitled to something. None of us humans are entitled to anything in the true, spiritual sense. We may have legal "rights", however, such legal rights are a mere illusion for the law of a nation is not the Truth, but Christ is. Thus, forget about your 'legal rights' for they are a mere illusion, fleeting and worthless in Eternity.
'Legal rights' are merely a social construct. Nevertheless, it must be made clear that it is not that they are social construct that is the issue, but that they are only what humans deem to be legitimate. However, what humans think means absolutely nothing for it is not humans who are the truth, but Christ is the Truth, and the only Truth (John 14:6). Indeed, let God be true and every person be a liar (Romans 3:4).
To claim one has rights, morally or spiritually, is to claim that one has "rights" in the true sense. This is a blasphemous lie for it seeks to usurp the authority of God to determine Truth, and thus is an attack on the Character of God Himself. To Hell with you so-called "rights"!
The spirit of mammon is the spirit behind the doctrine of "rights", blinding those who succumb to feeding belief in self-entitlement, into thinking they have "rights". You have no "rights" but you think that out of your self-entitlement, and pride of life, thinking that you are owed something. You do not even deserve to see justice done on your part, for you deserve Justice from God Himself. Such is the unforgiving spirit of the doctrine of "rights".
