Introduction
Environmentalism
is often regarded as a noble movement which simply seeks to protect the
environment. However, what many do not understand is its true motive and the
spirit behind it. Like all ideologies, there is a spirit behind it. That spirit
is a wicked one, who blinds godless people into following the agenda of the
devil.
What do I
mean by a spirit behind it? Say, a teacher says to a student, “Don’t run on
concrete”. That is done in the spirit of duty, rather than love. However, if a
parent says the same thing to his child, that would be in the spirit of love. The
spirit behind something included the motive, but not only the motive. It
includes the heart of person as to
why he stands for something. For example, a true follower of Christ opposes pornography
in the spirit of holiness, righteousness and purity. This is in stark contrast
to a feminist, who opposes pornography because of its infringement on a woman’s
“bodily autonomy” in the spirit of the self-centredness, double-mindedness in
thinking in wanting to be treated with respect but yet supporting fornication,
and in the spirit of harlotry. She hates pornography because she believes it
reduces her adulterous and fornicative “sexual freedom”, and therefore opposes
it in the spirit that is completely diametrically opposed to that of a true
follower of Christ.
Environmentalism is Idolatry and
Worship of the Creation
The Bible makes
it clear that God gave man to have dominion over the earth:
26 And God
said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the
cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth
upon the earth.
27 So God
created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and
female created he them.
28 And God
blessed them, and God said unto them, Be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every
living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis 1:26-28).
Environmentalists,
like all anti-Christ people, have accused the Bible of being evil, morally
wrong and dangerous by claiming that the Bible tells people to destroy the
environment. They pervert the God-given order of man having dominion over the
Creation. Instead, these environmentalists think that Creation, who they
worship, is to have dominion over man.
God is the
one who created the Creation, or what these anti-Christ environmentalists
simply call “the environment”, without even acknowledging that He is the
Creator. They are among the people who Romans 1:20-25 refers to:
For the invisible things of him
from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things
that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without
excuse:
21 Because
that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed
the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man,
and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore
God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to
dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed
the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than
the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
It is owing
to their foolish darkness of mind, which is the fruit of rebelling against God
(Romans 1:21) that they think that God is not the Creator of the planet, which
they so love and worship. As such, they think that God, if they even believe He
exists, not only does not care about the environment, that is His Creation, but
that He commands people trash His Own Creation and destroy it. This is an
absolutely asinine belief that is not even worth addressing.
Instead of
giving glory to God for His Creation, they glorify “Mother Earth” or “Mother
Nature” who they cry about, literally. They worship trees, whether in the more
ritualistic sense by hugging and crying the forest, or by tying themselves to
trees to stop the “evil corporations” from logging. This is not to say that
corporations are always right in what they do. However, that corporations are
not always right in what they do with respect to respecting the Creation of God
and exercising Biblical dominion over the earth does not make the tree-hugging
environmentalists right, or justify their case.
Environmentalist Hypocrisy
The objection here I make above is against the
hypocrisy of environmentalists, and not their fundamentalism per se, who ridicule and mock Christian
fundamentalism. Such mockery is an honour to all Christians (Matthew 5:11; Luke
6:22), and a vile evil on their part as 1 Peter 4:14 makes clear: If ye be
reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of
God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he
is glorified.
Environmental
Fundamentalist Doctrines
The
fundamental overarching doctrine of environmentalism is that the environment is
sovereign over humankind. This has lead to 5 fundamental tenets of
environmentalism. There tenets are that:
1.
Humankind is a pollutant on earth;
2.
Humankind commits an evil by using non-renewable natural
resources;
3.
Humankind not only can control the climate, but that his failure
to do so is moral failure and should accordingly be held accountable;
4.
Humankind commits evil by eating meat; and
5.
Humankind is should sacrifice human life to the environment.
Tenet 1:
Humankind as a Pollutant on Earth
Humankind is
a pollutant on the earth, such that the human population need to be controlled.
This explains why environmentalism calls for abortion and euthanasia, and that
environmentalists, in the true sense of the term, are indifferent to the plight
of those in third-world nations who die of mass starvation owing to their ban
on the use of pesticides.
Tenet 2:
Using Non-renewable natural Resources as Sacrilege
It is
morally wrong to use “non-renewable” so-called natural resources, such as coal,
because it will it permanently deplete the earth, their beloved “mother earth”
of her “rights”. This is seen as not only disrespectful towards “mother earth”,
but sacrilege to environmentalists. Just as true followers of Jesus Christ
rightfully view child sacrifice as sacrilege and blasphemy against God as
murdering an image-bearer of His, and is say to Him that He has no place in
giving life, environmentalists view the extraction of coal from the earth as
sacrilege and blasphemy against their beloved “mother earth”.
Tenet 3:
Humankind’s failure to Control the Climate and the Earth is Evil
That there
is no Creator God in control of the planet, such that humans not only must seek
control the planet, but that must actualise such control to satisfy one’s moral
duty to the environment. The recent Paris Treaty in which the world’s nations
agreed that they must all collectively aim to lower the earth’s climatic
temperature by 1.5oC. Like
the people in Genesis 11:1-9 who sought to build the Tower of Babel to the
heavens in thinking they can do all things, these people are no different, if
not worse. People the modern world think
that they can not only build a tower to heaven, but to control the heavens and
earth by lowering its temperature “because it is the 21st century”,
as if 21st century people were so much wiser and smarter than people
of the ancient world, seeking to lower to earth’s temperate by 1.5oC.
Tenet 4: Humankind
commits evil by eating meat
Environmentalists
elevate all non-human life to the same as that of human life. This may seem
innocuous, but this is really a very dangerous belief spiritually from the
Christian perspective, and also even simply consequentially. It is to deny and
spit in God’s face when He said:
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis 1:26-28).
God made Man he who is to have dominion over all living things. All non-human Creations of God are subordinate to Man. So, to claim that it is evil to eat meat from animals is itself to blaspheme God as it is to go against God’s order of Creation. This is not to say that a Christian must eat meat to be holy. Rather, it is to say that claiming that eating meat from animals is evil is to call evil what God calls good. It is therefore rebellion of the highest kind against God, by attempting to eradicate His standards, and replace them with one’s own.
Tenet 5: Humankind
is should sacrifice human life to the environment.
They may not
say this openly and publicly, but inside every environmental is a little nazi.
He or she is full of hatred for humanity and God, and would seek to kill
humanity and God if they can. She is a vile person who has a sick perverted
mind, who worships the environment, much like the pagans of the ancient world. Indeed,
ancient paganism features much worship of nature, if not centred on the worship
of nature, or the Creation, and those who are described in Romans 1:25.
Since the
environment is to be worshipped, and that to be worshipped, it follows that it
is justified that human life is sacrificed. That is the logical outcome of
environmentalism, and explains why environmentalists push for “population
control”, and “eugenics”. The modern environmental movement started with the Nationalist
Socialist Workers’ Party of Germany, that is, the Nazis.[1]
Environmentalism
is a Worldview which Murders God
Just like
evolutionism, environmentalism which is intricately connected with evolutionism
is means to get rid of God. It is the manifestation of man’s hatred of God,
that of radical utter depravity. Such depravity manifests itself in countless
ways in the heart of man.
The Solution
Whether one
is an environmentalist or not, all of us have sinned, having broken the Moral
Law of God. God is just and perfect, and thus He must punish sin. That punishment
is eternity in Hell. However, God, being the Creator of Humankind loved
humanity, that He gave His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for your sins
and mine. He died the death you deserved for your sins, by taking your
punishment for you. So, as an analogy, you broke God’s Law, Jesus paid your
fine. This means that on the Day of Judgment, God can dismiss your case, so
that you won’t have to go to Hell, but be saved from the fires of Hell.
So, what you
need to do to escape the just punishment of God is to turn from all your sins,
and put your faith in Jesus Christ. You cannot escape Hell by your so-called ‘good
works’ or ‘morality’. It is only by faith
in Jesus Christ alone, that you can be saved from the wrath of God. Do it today
while you still have time.
