The Bible makes it clear that satan is the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44). Satan lied to Eve, and deceived her. As a result of being seduced by satan's lies, Adam and Eve brought death to the whole world by sin. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12).
Every lie, murder or hatred, which Jesus said to be murder (1 John 3:15) is of the devil. Every war in history involves lies, hatred and murder. Wars are based on lies, used to deceive people into thinking they are justified in killing people, and use murder to take away life. Satan uses war as a means of destroying and stealing lost souls, to take them to Hell with him. Such a deed is anti-Christ.
Jesus came to give eternal life, not snatch it away. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus came to save souls from Eternal Hellfire, to give Eternal Life. Satan seeks to undo and hinder the works of Jesus. Jesus came to save wretched sinners. He rebuked his disciples who asked if they should ask God to rain fire from Heaven upon seeing unbelieving people:

And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he [Jesus] turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village (Luke 9:54-56).
