Violence is undoubtedly a vile, wicked evil sin. God destroyed the world during the time of Noah because of their wickedness, one of which was violence: And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth (Genesis 6:13).
The modern western world which is vile, evil, wicked, disgusting and full of abominations, and which is yet so (supposedly) concerned about violence, out of its selfishness, people think that only violence is cruelty. People think that because of their selfishness. Yet, it supports child-murder, perverting to mean a woman's "right". Of course, in all its vileness, it thinks itself so 'ethical', 'moral' and 'righteous' in its vile, evil, abominable perversions. It thinks itself so compassionate, kind, ethical, and even loving. Proverbs 30:12 is the absolutely perfect description of this vile, evil, despicable, disgusting, abominable generation of people in the modern west: There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
Modern western society thinks itself so humane, compassion, ethical and kind, rejecting the 'traditional' 'medieval European' way, as dark, barbaric, inhumane backwards and unenlightened, as an insinuation against Christianity. The unsaved in the modern west think that about itself because the west no longer practices the death penalty for a convicted criminal who has been found guilty beyond reasonable doubt, supports "human rights", sodomite 'marriage' and child-murder. This is all deception. The modern west is not more compassionate, kind and ethical and humane than than medieval Europe.
The modern west is cruel, barbaric, unkind, unethical and uncompassionate, and the most vile, wicked, abominable, disgusting, evil, despicable civilisation on earth. It is no different, if not far far far more wicked than ancient civilisations who practiced child sacrifice, ritual prostitution and other whoredoms, such as the Moabites, and Carthaginians. However, unlike the these wicked civilisations, the modern west thinks itself so ethical, good, compassionate, kind, and humane, even claiming that its values are the universal absolute moral standard that all should follow.
The modern west dares to blaspheme God by inverting the Moral Law of God itself, by claiming that it is not only ethically and morally superior to the Moral Law of God, but also that the Moral Law of God is perverted. It calls cruelty compassion, and compassion cruelty, honour dishonourable and dishonour honourable, right to be wrong and wrong to be right. As Isaiah 5:20-23 says:
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
The modern west thinks that compassion in where an person gives a benefit to another what while seeking to gain for oneself. It thinks that compassion is made when a person makes sacrifices for the own self-gain of oneself. For example, it thinks that a person who works for his or her family for one's own money and that of ones loved ones, has made many sacrifices, which count him or her as a compassionate person. What perverted vile earthly thinking! 1 Timothy 5:8 says: "But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." What this means is that providing for one's family is the prerequisite for one to be righteous as it is merely a minimal standard for righteousness for the follower of Christ. For providing for one's family involves such a basic meagre level of morality, not even righteousness that even an unbeliever would care for one's family.
It is this humanistic belief that one is being a compassionate person when one makes sacrifices for ultimately one's own self-gain that underlies that the false demonic view of compassion that he modern west has. It thinks that as long as a person is not harming or hurting another person that one is so 'compassionate', and that anyone who does or says that which hurts another is 'cruel'. That is in and of itself a perversion of compassion.
Cruel is envious self-centredness. As long as a person has the spirit of envious self-centredness, he is a cruel person, Biblically speaking. Many in the modern west think that only a person who is violent or money-hungry is cruel. That is why it thinks that only those who commit domestic violence and big corporations are cruel, and has such false humanistic sympathy towards women, children and those who are exploited or bullied (allegedly) by big corporations. It has a special hatred toward these two groups, who it loves to target for criticism.
A person need not be violent or rich and money-hungry to be cruel. By no means! There are many people who not violent, or rich and money-hungry but cruel. The acts of cruelty are only mere manifestations of cruelty. Cruelty is not only in the heart, but in the mind and spirit. Cruelty can manifest in all kinds of subtle ways, including sweet, gentle ways. Such sweet, gentle ways of cruelty can involved manipulating others to not only seek some kinds of material gain, but also to manipulating others into doing things so that one can accuse or simply blame that person for one's own sins.
The spirit behind cruelty is spirit of mammon who feeds on the envious self-centredness of the flesh which cannot be satisfied until one one's desire for self-centredness and envy is satisfied. Not only until it has satisfied its own lusts can it rest, but only when others are unsatisfied and discontented and envious towards one can it be satisfied. It loves the envy that others have towards oneself, feeling satisfied and content as a result. This manifests in laughing, mocking or being indifferent towards the calamity of others.
