How to Know if the Earthly Temporal Things You Have are NOT From God

Much of the time, the earthly temporal things people have are not truly from God. Satan himself gives people such things, including things that are not inherently sinful, such as food and temporal authority. Satan tempting Jesus in the desert shows that satan himself is capable of giving people things they want or need (Matthew 4:3-9).

Many people, especially the most rich people, work very hard for the things of the world, and are rewarded by the world. They devote themselves to pleasing people to gain their favour, and use all kinds of ways to get what they want, for themselves, even if it requires one to be unethical, immoral, unjust or unrighteous. They can never rest when things do not go their way, and seek to 'resolve' difficulties by all manner of evil and wickedness.

The things which they have are not from God, and are not God's "blessings", but from the devil, which the world rewards them with.  They earned what they have as a result of seeking things for themselves, as opposed to allowing God to give them what they have as He chooses.

Likewise, many professing followers of Christ are busy seeking earthly temporal goods for themselves. Instead of faithfully and humbly allowing God to give them what He wants to give them as He chooses, they seek what they want for themselves. This is pride and selfish ambition, in demanding what one wants, and seeks to get what one wants for oneself.

Jesus Himself said:

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

(Matthew 6:19-21)

These professing followers of Christ are seeking earthly treasure, as opposed to heavenly treasure, which is completely contrary to Jesus' command. Do not be deceived, you cannot seek both earthly and heavenly treasure. You devote yourself to seeking one, and despite the other

Temporal things which are not given to one by God will puff up one's pride, leading one to use what one has to gain status. Whenever you see a person being constantly proud of his professional career, business, marriage, or house, and elevating himself above others for such things, that is a sign that it is not from God. It is something he sought for himself, and worked hard for his own glory, and not for God's glory.

Nothing that God gives to a person will cause him or her to deviate from walking with Jesus or worshiping God. If it does, it is not from God, but the devil. For example, if a person's spouse causes him or her to drift from God, or even fails to sanctify him or her, that spouse is not his or her God-ordained spouse. He or she is not given to the person by God.

Anything that God gives to a person as a gift will not cause anxiety, worry, pain or unease. If something, such as a house on a mortgage causes anxiety owing to enslavement to debt, which it will most definitely will, it is not from God, no matter how much you may try to convince yourself otherwise. If one is uneasy or not at peace with a person of the opposite sex for whatever reason, that person is not his or her God-ordained spouse.

God intends that those who love Him be excellent, not just good, but excellent stewards of what He gives them. He will only give His children what is good:  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (Matthew 7:11).

Therefore, if anything one has is that which he or she cannot be an excellent steward of, whatever it may be, it is not from God, as it is not good for him or her in accordance to God's purpose. It does not fit his or her gifts, talents and abilities, such that he can be an excellent steward of what is given.

One of the key reasons as to why followers of Christ do not get what they ask for is because it does not fit him or her. He or she will not be an excellent steward of what he or she asked for, and so God did not give it to him or her.

Do not be dismayed or discouraged if God does not give you what you want. Believe in your heart what Jesus said when He said " how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?".

Do not think that the earthly temporal things people are favours from God, or that being given more things is a sign of God's love. It is not.

Repent of your sins. Place your faith in Jesus while you still have time.

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7). However, the Christian can most definitely yield to the temptations of mammon just as he can yield to the temptations of satan. This is what is means for a Christian to be under the spirit of mammon. The signs of a person being under the spirit of mammon are: The person does not understand the spirit of mammon. This is because he or she is blinded by it and therefore cannot see it. The person reacts whenever being confronted with being told that they are under the spirit of mammon, or being told that they may be under it. This is not the person themselves reacting, but the spirit of mammon reacting. The person is self-satisfied with the abundance that they have. This is especially the case with many Christians today. They are happy with having a family, a well-paying job, security

Two types of contentment

The world seeks contentment. It seeks to be contented in pursuit of all kinds of things, whether it be money, health, wealth, romance, sex, careers or family. It does not necessarily seek after riches to be content. However, that one does not seek after money as the first priority, but other things that are typically associated with good traditional values, such as family, does not in any way mean that one is content in the godly sense. By no means! A person can be a "conservative" and "religious" but just as earthly as the "liberal". There are two types of contentment: earthly contentment and godly contentment. Earthly contentment finds its fulfillment and satisfaction in things that are passing away, not necessarily money, but also things like family, education and children. Yes, that's right. Many professing American Christians think that they could never be under the spirit of mammon because they care for their families and love their families, a

The spirit behind Debt, the spirit of Mammon, seeks to Blind, Control, Enslave and Dominate by debt

Many people just cannot understand what usury is for what it is. Thus, in order for people to understand what exactly usury is, they must be made to understand debt first. Debt is not merely money to be repaid. It has power. Debt indeed is power, which comes from a source not from God: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).  One can discern that debt has a power behind it if one uses one's godly discernment. Debt brings spiritual bondage to a person, not merely financial bondage, but spiritual bondage. The real issue with debt for all people whether unsaved or saved is that it keeps people from fully serving God. It is a spiritual stronghold of mammon that panders to the flesh, to make a God-hater even more hostile against God, by feeding on his flesh to increase its appetite even more. It is also a spiritual stronghold
