God gives people earthly temporal things, like jobs, marriages, families, food and money. However, not all earthly things are from God. Some are from the devil. In fact, for much of the time, most earthly things that people have are from the devil.
So, how can one discern whether what one has is truly from God, or from the devil?
If God has given something to a person, it is either for him or her to sustain himself or herself to do the Will of God, or to use for God's glory in serving God and others. Anything that God gives to a person is ultimately for His glory, and not for that person to indulge in, enjoy in and of itself, show others, or to use to gain power and control over others.
For Philippians 2:3-4 says:" Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others."
Many professing followers of Christ constantly judge others for what they do or not do, or what they have or do not have. They make all kinds of judgments against other people for being in ministry, not being in ministry, working in a job, not working in a job, being married, or not being married, having no children or not having children, or having few children or having many children.
God can give anyone anything or assign any person any assignment as He chooses, at His timing, for His purposes. Not only is it that it is only for God to determine what He gives or assigns to people. He is the only One who can even know what is His will for a person, and it is between Him and the person. A prophet may also know what is God's will for the person, but it is not for him or her to question God about His will, assess the merits of His Will, or compel the person serve God. All a prophet can do is to confront, rebuke and correct the person.
Anyone who is not a true prophet and confront, rebukes or corrects people for not doing God's will or being lead by the Spirit is in error to do so, as he or she has no such authority to know about God's will for another, or to confront, rebuke or correct people for not doing the Will of God.
Earthly temporal things, including that which God created as good, like work, marriage and family, can be given to people by satan. Where something which one has is not for God's glory, but for one's glory, it is from satan. Where what one has earned is the result of working diligently out of selfish ambition for one's pride, be it for recognition, security, fame, or wealth, it is from satan. One is being rewarded by the system of the world, the prince of which is satan (John 12:31; 16:11).
Anything which God has given to one will not hinder the person from running the race of faith, but rather, will help him or her run the race faster, enable the person to fix his eyes on Jesus, and not cause him or her to be weary.
For Hebrews 12:1-3 says:
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Therefore, anything that hinders one from running the race, causes one to lose focus on Jesus, or to be weary is not from God.
Those of you who have are seeking to have everything, including a career, marriage, family, wealth, luxury goods, holidays, and education, and are weary, anxiety, depressed, frustrated or bitter because of it are not following God's will. Not everything that you have is given to you by God, but you sought to gain some or much of what you have for yourself, and the satan has given those things to you. You have been ensnared by selfish ambition, which has led you to earn things for yourself which God has not given to you, or not given to you yet. Repent of selfish ambition!
Anything that one has which will not be able to be used to advance the Kingdom of God in any way, shape or form, is not from God, but satan. For God does not give people things just for their own enjoyment, pleasure or treasure.
Anything given to a person from satan is a curse, even if it is something which is not inherently sinful, like a job, marriage, family or house. Many who claim to follow Christ have been deceived into thinking that the more earthly things they have, the more blessed.
As long as something is not from God, even if it is not inherently sinful, but sought out for oneself, or earned as a result of being rewarded by the world's system, and hence satan himself, it is a curse the person.
Repent of your sins. Put your faith in Jesus Christ while you still have time.
