Usury is a Form of Murder

It has been rightly said that gossip is a form of murder. Gossip is a form of hate, and hate is murder according to the Word of God (Matthew 5:21; 1 John 3:15).  Likewise, usury is a form of hate, and is therefore a form of murder.

Murder need not involve blood shed (Matthew 5:21), although the shedding of innocent blood most definitely is murder (Proverbs 6:16-17). How does satan murder people? He murders people by his lies (John 8:44). He murdered Adam and Eve by convincing them to eat the fruit on the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which God prohibited them to eat (See Genesis 3). He said to Eve when she hesitated to eat the fruit, "you shall not surely die" (Genesis 3:4), when they would most definitely die (Genesis 2:16-17), for their relationship with God was cut off (Genesis 3:22-23; Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21).  Just the mere means of deceiving people into thinking that they need not serve God, and live for God, but live their own way, is itself murder. Such is the way satan murders people.

Murder by no means needs to include any blood shed. Just a mere lie itself regarding whether a person is on the right path of life, leading to his eternal destruction, is itself murder. That is precisely how satan seeks to murder all of humanity. The Bible describes his as a "roaring lion" seeking to devour: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8).

The heart of he who seeks to lead people to their eternal destruction in hate. It is the ultimate form of hate, and is perfectly diametrically opposed to the greatest act of love when God, took on flesh, to become Jesus Christ, God Himself in the flesh, to die for the sins of humanity, so that it could be reconciled to Him for "greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). Romans 5:5-8 makes this very clear:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Anyone who encourages sin does not love, for sin itself leads only to death and destruction, and he who does not love, hates (1 John 4:8, 20). To encourage another sin is itself murder. The adulteress in Proverbs 7 is described as one who "hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her"(Proverbs 7:26). Her house is described as the way of death: "Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death" (Proverbs 7:27). She is not only guilty in the eyes of God for adultery. She is also guilty of murder, cold-blooded, cruel, callous murder of those men who she seduces, her victims. It is also to be noted that she lies to her victims: "With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him" (Proverbs 7:21), just as satan lies to his victims.

The adulterous woman is a murderous woman, not can or may be, but is always a murderous woman.  Such women are not only akin to psychopathic mass murderers who brutally chop up the bodies of their victims, and carry out all manner of demonic perversions in their murders. These women are far far far worse than such psychopathic mass murderers for they murder souls, not only without people knowing it, but men who fall in her path desire more of her murder all without knowing their destruction. As Proverbs 7:22-23 says of the man who falls into her path: He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. An adulterous woman is far far far more evil than a psychopathic mass murderer. Such women are indeed the cause of all family and social problems in the modern west.

Likewise, usury murders souls, by seducing people into serving mammon through debt. Usury is any interest on a loan, which is itself a perversion of lending money. God intended lending money to be an act of charity or love (Exodus 22:25-27; Leviticus 25:35-37; Deuteronomy 15:8-10, 23:19-20; Matthew 5:42; Luke 6:34). Usury uses this act of charity, and turns it into a means of self-gain. Therein lies the perversion of charity itself. Usury is itself against the character of God, and therefore is a sin.

Usury seduces people into serving mammon, leading to their destruction, not merely by increasing the amount of debt to be repaid. That is a very shallow and superficial understanding of what usury is. What makes usury destruction is not just the increased debt burden per se, leading one to borrow but not repay, a sin in itself (Psalm 37:21). It is more than that. The spirit behind debt, who is the spirit of mammon, enslaves people to debt, and therefore to him. Usury is the legitimisation of such enslavement to debt, by the making of profit of such enslavement to debt. It is analogous to the making of profit by a harlot of the adultery of her victims.

Usury is murder, for it perverts the truth that getting into debt is not enslavement to mammon, when it is enslavement to mammon. It is a perversion of compassion, making lending out to be done for self-gain, as opposed to be for charity. It is to make profit, out of one's desire for self-gain and to gratify one's own lusts of the flesh, of the sin of serving mammon. Usury is blood-money, plain and simple.

Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him (Ezekiel 18:13).

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7). However, the Christian can most definitely yield to the temptations of mammon just as he can yield to the temptations of satan. This is what is means for a Christian to be under the spirit of mammon. The signs of a person being under the spirit of mammon are: The person does not understand the spirit of mammon. This is because he or she is blinded by it and therefore cannot see it. The person reacts whenever being confronted with being told that they are under the spirit of mammon, or being told that they may be under it. This is not the person themselves reacting, but the spirit of mammon reacting. The person is self-satisfied with the abundance that they have. This is especially the case with many Christians today. They are happy with having a family, a well-paying job, security

Two types of contentment

The world seeks contentment. It seeks to be contented in pursuit of all kinds of things, whether it be money, health, wealth, romance, sex, careers or family. It does not necessarily seek after riches to be content. However, that one does not seek after money as the first priority, but other things that are typically associated with good traditional values, such as family, does not in any way mean that one is content in the godly sense. By no means! A person can be a "conservative" and "religious" but just as earthly as the "liberal". There are two types of contentment: earthly contentment and godly contentment. Earthly contentment finds its fulfillment and satisfaction in things that are passing away, not necessarily money, but also things like family, education and children. Yes, that's right. Many professing American Christians think that they could never be under the spirit of mammon because they care for their families and love their families, a

The spirit behind Debt, the spirit of Mammon, seeks to Blind, Control, Enslave and Dominate by debt

Many people just cannot understand what usury is for what it is. Thus, in order for people to understand what exactly usury is, they must be made to understand debt first. Debt is not merely money to be repaid. It has power. Debt indeed is power, which comes from a source not from God: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).  One can discern that debt has a power behind it if one uses one's godly discernment. Debt brings spiritual bondage to a person, not merely financial bondage, but spiritual bondage. The real issue with debt for all people whether unsaved or saved is that it keeps people from fully serving God. It is a spiritual stronghold of mammon that panders to the flesh, to make a God-hater even more hostile against God, by feeding on his flesh to increase its appetite even more. It is also a spiritual stronghold
