The Righteousness of Christ and His Church Frightens Darkness Away. Be the Light by your Righteousness!
There is nothing which frightens the unrighteous more than righteousness. Righteousness brings light and shines the light on darkness. Here is what the Scriptures say about the nature of light: 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a] it (John 1:4-5). Evil people love evil because it hides their darkness and makes them feel comfortable. Jesus said: "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men
loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil" (John 3:19).
The Bible also asks "For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). The answer is none.
Christian, let your light shine through the darkness of the world by refusing to heed the world's ways or its advice, never ever compromising with it, even to the slightest. For failing to contend with evil is to praise evil and evildoers (Proverbs 28:4). Righteousness itself has a power, a power not from the world, but from God, that shakes the world. That is why Jesus said:
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:13-16).
So, the Church of Jesus Christ must rise up to not only resist evil, but actively fight evil. Don't hide behind close doors or shy away when confronting the world on its evil. Confront the world on its wickedness right in its face. Show them what vile creatures they are.
The wicked flee when no one pursues,
But the righteous are bold as a lion.

2 Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes;
But by a man of understanding and knowledge
Right will be prolonged.
But by a man of understanding and knowledge
Right will be prolonged.
3 A poor man who oppresses the poor
Is like a driving rain which leaves no food.

4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked,
But such as keep the law contend with them.
But such as keep the law contend with them.
(Proverbs 28:1-4).
