False doctrines: the most effective way of undermining the Church

False doctrines are the most effective way of undermining the Church. Satan and his demons seduce people within the professing Church with lies, which is exactly what 1 Timothy 4:1 warns about: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

These doctrines more often than not, if not always, mix truth with lies, lies so subtle that they seem harmless, and not a threat to the Church's theology. These lies are truthful enough to seem like truth, but yet so dangerous, dangerous enough to corrupt the soul, and the mind. These lies themselves are a stumbling block to people; it is not merely just the unrighteous of the heart, but these lies themselves that are a stumbling block, captivating people by their deceptions.

It is these lies which are very hard to discern, that which can only be discerned through discerning power from God, that cause much theological confusion. Such confusion leads to conflict within the Church.

Satan is the author of confusion. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints (1 Corinthians 14:33). Satan uses lies, not obvious ones, but very subtle lies mixed with truth that they sound almost very true and pure to cause confusion within the Church, which leads to conflicts waged on the basis of genuinely seeking truth.

These lies all pander to the flesh, either very brazenly, complacent in upholding truth, being all to ready to compromise the truth, or think it is legitimate to make it sound more palatable to the unregenerate carnal flesh, such as the divisive doctrine of cultural sensitivity which panders to the flesh, without realising, all while thinking it equates to 'gentleness'. Those who spread it or seek to impose it on other true converts are spreading a very subtle lie that challenges the Character of God, and cause those who oppose it to be in much spiritual bondage. This is the damage that such a doctrine causes to genuine true converts who seek to carry out the Great Commission.

This is the spiritual bondage that comes to those who seek to cleanse the Church of all false doctrines, absolutely all doctrines which challenge even to the very slightest the Word, Commands, Character, Will, Purpose, Design and Nature of God.
