Gain is not godliness like what many in the Modern Church unknowingly think

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;  He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:3-6).

Many in the modern Church of the west think that where they gain more material things, it is godliness unto them. They think that they live comfortable lives, in the earthly sense, and enjoy many (earthly and worldly) freedoms that the vast majority in the world do not, because of their godliness.

The most obvious evidence of such thinking in the typical modern western Christian is that the west is "blessed" with democracy, which really should be called demoncracy, and capitalism. Such is the vile, blasphemous, abominable thinking of these professing Christians, many of them who are 'conservative', and perhaps all the more because they are 'conservatives'. They think that it is not only justifiable, but also morally obligatory for a state to wage a war against states which do not give their own citizens so-called freedom, rights or equality. Such is the foolish, vile thinking of the typical modern western Christian whose pure springs have been polluted by the world, because he gives way to the unrighteous (Proverbs 25:26), in all manner of ways, whether through compromise with the world, or a lack of zeal to hate evil and love good.

The typical modern western Christian believes in rights, liberty and equality because he is under the spirit of mammon. The very belief in such vile things is itself the manifestation of one being under the spirit of mammon. It is a work of the flesh to even think that one or anyone else has so-called rights, liberty or equality.

What Jesus meant when He said "And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:27) does not mean to merely reduce luxuries, or not enjoy luxuries, liberties, freedoms or rights, compared to that unsaved who are always fighting for such things. It does not mean to not fight for such things as the unsaved do. No! To think that is to not only minimise what Jesus said. It to to deny what Jesus said, while claiming to follow Him.

Yet, that is what is exactly many in the modern Church in the west are. They are is smug behind their wealth, which they think is theirs, either in whole or in part, but is truly God's wealth, and His alone, not theirs. They happily enjoy the worldly liberty and rights, and enjoys a life free from all persecution as she seeks to pander to the carnal sensitivities of the world in reaching out to it, not out of love for the unsaved, but out of cold duty-mindedness.  The love that many Christians in the west have is a cold one, which causes those who encounter such Christians to have a cold love, just merely by being around such people. Indeed, in the Last Days, the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12).

To serve God is to love God. Thus, if one is trying to serve mammon, as well as God, one will not be able to serve God and love God (Matthew 6:24). This is because seeking to serve mammon is to make a provision for the flesh which rears its head. That is exactly why Jesus had to explain to His followers that no one can serve both God and mammon, and what does it means for a person to serve God and to serve mammon (Matthew 6:24-34).  It is not only possible for the true Christian to fall into trying to serve both God and mammon. It is all too easy for the true Christian to attempt to serve both, all without even realising it. The one sure sign that one is seeking to serve both God and mammon is his cold love. It is not merely that he has lost his first love for God like the Ephesians (Revelation 2:4), but that his love is cold, or lukewarm (Revelation 3:15-17).

One may say that he does not believe in "rights" and "liberty" to do evil, and thinks himself righteous in doing so. Good, even the vile, liberals of the modern west does not believe in liberty and right to murder and rape!  The belief in "rights", "liberty" and "equality" are manifestations of the flesh. It is the manifestation of the idolatry, envy and jealousy of the flesh to have what others have, which the belief in "equality" justifies; idolatry, selfish ambition and wrath which belief in "rights" justifies; and lust and idolatry which belief in worldly liberty justifies. Envy, jealousy, idolatry, selfish ambition, wrath, and lust are sins of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). Thus, he who is a true Christian will not even believe in his or anyone's right, liberty or equality. He will hate even the belief in rights, liberty and equality, or anything tainted by such vile, abominable, disgusting, despicable manifestations.

For such a belief in one's own rights or that of others is not agape love, but self-love. Love is the fulfillment of the Law (Romans 13:10). Thus, anything that is not love is disobedient to God, a sin. The belief in rights, liberty and equality. are the ultimate manifestation of self-love, and thus vile, abominable sins in the eyes of a Holy, Holy, Holy God.

You may argue that the Bible does not say that if a person believes in his rights or liberty, he is unsaved. It may be true that this is not explicitly stated. There are many truths that the Bible does not state for "it is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter" (Proverbs 25:2). Simply because the Bible does not explicitly state a truth does not mean it is not truth. In fact, it may be an undeniable, unquestionable truth discerned only by spiritual means (Act 17:11), not a "view" or "opinion" as vile, arrogant, proud evangelicals love to claim, to deflect from the truth, in their hostility against all possible spiritual revelations from others.

You who reject the truth that belief in "rights", "liberty" and "equality", know this: you are vile, arrogant, proud, envious, pitiable, disgusting, abominable and despicable in the eyes of God. You are are filthy rag, and a wretched worm who the God you mock, or you treat with a lukewarm love, is justly and rightly angry at. God is angry at the wicked everyday (Psalm 7:11).

You may say, that you are a true convert. If you are lukewarm in your love towards God, are many modern western Christians are, you are vile, filthy, arrogant and proud, under the spirit of mammon, as evidenced by your lukewarm love. You are so controlled by the spirit of mammon you don't even realise, you pitiable wretch. You think you are rich, but a poor, you pitiable wretch. I am the not the one saying this. Rather, Jesus said that in Revelation 3:15-17:

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked
.

Gain is not godliness as the lukewarm western Christians of today think in their hearts, rather than their minds. That one has a comfortable life, and the rights, liberty and equality in the world is not godliness as many of such Christians think, smug not only behind their wealth, and their earthly rights, liberty and equality, which are all of the spirit of mammon.

It is pitiable and tragic that many in the modern Church of the west think that their earthly gains are signs of their godliness, because of their smugness and pride in such things, just as the Church of Laodicea was. Gain is not godliness as 1 Timothy 6:3-6 makes it very clear. These mammonised Christians think that their gain is godliness because of their envy, pride, arrogant selfish ambition which leads one to think that not only is one entitled to one's basic needs, but that one deserves all earthly comfort and worldly liberty, rights and equality that one has, because of one's godliness.

The modern Church in the west is as the Church of Laodicea.

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7). However, the Christian can most definitely yield to the temptations of mammon just as he can yield to the temptations of satan. This is what is means for a Christian to be under the spirit of mammon. The signs of a person being under the spirit of mammon are: The person does not understand the spirit of mammon. This is because he or she is blinded by it and therefore cannot see it. The person reacts whenever being confronted with being told that they are under the spirit of mammon, or being told that they may be under it. This is not the person themselves reacting, but the spirit of mammon reacting. The person is self-satisfied with the abundance that they have. This is especially the case with many Christians today. They are happy with having a family, a well-paying job, security

Two types of contentment

The world seeks contentment. It seeks to be contented in pursuit of all kinds of things, whether it be money, health, wealth, romance, sex, careers or family. It does not necessarily seek after riches to be content. However, that one does not seek after money as the first priority, but other things that are typically associated with good traditional values, such as family, does not in any way mean that one is content in the godly sense. By no means! A person can be a "conservative" and "religious" but just as earthly as the "liberal". There are two types of contentment: earthly contentment and godly contentment. Earthly contentment finds its fulfillment and satisfaction in things that are passing away, not necessarily money, but also things like family, education and children. Yes, that's right. Many professing American Christians think that they could never be under the spirit of mammon because they care for their families and love their families, a

The spirit behind Debt, the spirit of Mammon, seeks to Blind, Control, Enslave and Dominate by debt

Many people just cannot understand what usury is for what it is. Thus, in order for people to understand what exactly usury is, they must be made to understand debt first. Debt is not merely money to be repaid. It has power. Debt indeed is power, which comes from a source not from God: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).  One can discern that debt has a power behind it if one uses one's godly discernment. Debt brings spiritual bondage to a person, not merely financial bondage, but spiritual bondage. The real issue with debt for all people whether unsaved or saved is that it keeps people from fully serving God. It is a spiritual stronghold of mammon that panders to the flesh, to make a God-hater even more hostile against God, by feeding on his flesh to increase its appetite even more. It is also a spiritual stronghold
