Spirit of war thrives on lies

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (John 3:19-20).

The spirit of war is thrives on many sins and evil acts. War arises because of all kinds of sins - conflict in political ideology, strife over 'rights', covetousness in the conquest for new land and resources.

So, the question to be asked is what is the seed of all sins. The seed of all sins comes from satan tempting Eve. He seduced her with a lie that appealed to the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life. He tempted her to accept a lie - a lie about God that God's authority cannot be fully trusted. He asked her in his deceptiveness, "Did God really say?" (Genesis 3:1).

It is all to easy to say, "Of course God really did say." It is easy to claim one trusts God and His Word, but whether one really does is a different matter. It is easy to say you trust the Bible as God's Word, but can you really say you accept all of God's Word for what He means, not what you would like it to mean?

Sin entered into the world when truth was redefined to mean what one believes or what one would like to be true. To distort truth, from comes only from God is to live a lie. Lies are the beginning of all evil. Lies claim that it is legitimate to reject God and be in the truth. Lies claim that one can accept God's Word as the Truth, but yet interpret it in different alternative ways. Lies claim that one without God can be righteous.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you (2 Corinthians 6:14-17).
Lies have no fellowship with truth. Lies are not in darkness, lies are darkness. Lies blinds the Light, the only source of righteousness, goodness and Truth. Lies and righteousness are thus diametrically opposed.

The spirit of war which seeks to kill, steal and destroy spiritually, and manifests itself in such a way in the natural world. The spirit of war blinds people by feeding them the lie that they are justified in not only murdering and stealing, but by being hostile in one's mind towards one's fellow man.

War is not accident. It is not ultimately a physical reality, but rather a spiritual reality. The evil of war, is not the deaths itself, but the willful destruction of human life at the hands of others to advance all kinds of evils - whether it be political rule, conquest, stealing of resources, hatred of other religious groups or the showing the strength of one's nation in the name of nationalism
