The Church has succumbed into Earthly Fleshly ways of dealing with Moral Issues

One of the reasons why the modern church in the west is so weak is because it has fallen into dealing with moral issues such as abortion, pornography and sex slavery in very earthly and fleshy ways.

It is not that the world and the church have total disagreement on everything. No. The world and the church both have agreements on what issues are to be of moral concern. However, the world and the church are in conflict over:

  1. Why those things that the world and church agree to be wrong, are wrong;
  2. How to think about these moral issues;
  3. How to deal with these moral issues; and
  4. How to deal with and treat the perpetrator and the victims.
The Modern Church's Earthly, Fleshly Reasoning as to why Immoral Acts are wrong

The modern church has subtly fallen into consequentialism. For example, it argues, regarding abortion, that it is wrong, not purely because it offends God, but because it "hurts" people, especially women. This may seem very caring. However, the manner of spirit in which this argument is made is in the spirit of fear. Fear of people is a grave sin, equivalent to murder because it shows rejection of fear of God. This precisely what many in the modern church do. They fear people more than God, relying on earthly worldly weapons of chariots and spears, and not on God. They have forgotten God. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God (Psalm 20:7).

The world trusts in chariots and horses in the moral fight against evil acts like pornography and sex slavery.  Tragically, the church has decided to do the same and leave God out of it when reaching out to the world about why these things are wrong. The fool is he who trusts in man, and fears man for the fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe (Proverbs 29:25). These Christians also impose their man-fearing approaches to evangelism and dealing with moral issues to other people in the body of Christ. This brings a snare to those in the body of Christ who have no fear of people.

I have experienced this to be the case with one modern evangelical who imposes his man-fearing approach in evangelism onto me. This  is why I do not want to be associated with him or even speak to him, just as he does not want to be associated with my efforts of evangelism, except for when he gets to impose his man-fearing approach which he thinks is "superior". This has no only discouraged me, which he merely acknowledges with mere lip service, but has really set up a stumbling block against me. That is why I was annoyed at him. Yet, he does not know why I was "angry" at him and uses this against me.

As long as one has the fear of man in oneself, one will naturally act out of that fear. Suppression of such fear will not stop the person from acting out of fear of man. One needs to hack it to pieces as one completely removes from one' system, a cancer cell. Fear of man is a cancer that has infected the church. It it like a tumour cell that not only spread to others, but forms an encapsulating cage around other cells within the body.

The Christian needs to be aware of those people within the true body of Christ who have a fear of man. They are like cancer. However, he must also seek to cure the person by making him battle fear of man and kill it, like a doctor who seek to make a cancer cell revert back to a non-cancerous cell.

It is because of fear of man, and a lack of trust in what the Word of God says about ALL issues that has made the church weakened as it is in the west.  The world is full of lies, that are hide under the guise of truth, or are mixed with truth to render truth lies. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies (Psalm 40:4). Why does the modern church trust academics, governments and activists who all are selfish and have self-seeking agendas about these moral issues? It is because it has fallen into worldly thinking, and failed to acknowledge and repent of this.

The modern church in the west needs to repent of trusting in the ways of man, and fearing people.

How the church should think about moral issues

The church should trust every single Word of God, even if it seems unreasonable to oneself personally. For example, the Christian should trust God where it says that usury is wrong (Psalm 15:5; Ezekiel 18:8,13; Jeremiah 15:10; Matthew 5:42; Luke 6:34-35). Usury is wrong per se because it is wrong in spirit. Just as gambling is wrong in spirit because it it of a spirit of covetousness, usury is also wrong because of covetousness, a grave sin in the eyes of God, equivalent to murder, because it is the hatred of God. All sins are hatred of God themselves, and therefore, equivalent to murder. Murder is a grave sin, but blaspheming God and failing to trust in Him, or believe in Him is far worse because it is against God.

The modern church in the west, in being under the spirit of mammon, failing to deny itself fully including one's own life, has fallen into thinking about moral issues from the same earthly, and worldly manner as the world. It is blinded by a desire to preserve itself from persecution, ridicule and mockery, so that it can enjoy its comfort and easy life in the west. In doing so, it is relied on weapons of flesh, rather than spiritual weapons from God. This is exactly why the church had not only lost, but has been hacked into pieces by the agents of satan in moral issues such as abortion, sex slavery and homosexual "marriage".

It has succumbed to earthly arguments which look at the temporary, such a marriage is best for the child only when there is one father and mother, abortion "hurts" families and women, that and  sex slavery is "discriminatory". These may be true in the earthly sense, but that is not the issue at all. Such arguments are fleshly in themselves, and therefore should be rejected by the church. It has compromised with evil, fleshly thinking, consequentialist thinking, fit only for the world and that which has absolutely no place in the life of the true Christian.

To even consider these arguments are legitimate is worldly itself. The church must reject all these arguments are insist dogmatically that the reason why these things are wrong is because God hates these things. They are abominations in His eyes, and such people who practice or approve of these things will burn in Hell for  an Eternity if they do not turn from them.

How the church should deal with these moral issues

The church has often aligned itself with the unsaved to deal with these moral issues. It is unbelievable how the church is so blinded into thinking that this is acceptable in the eyes of God. The typical modern western Christian would argue that one is only just dealing with moral issues, and a moral issue is that which is universally and absolutely wrong, and thus, it does not matter who thinks this way, as long as one sees evil things as evil. This is an extremely foolish arguments for two reasons. Firstly, the unsaved do not have the same Biblical reasoning. They cannot even for a moment think Biblically for they are dead in sins and hostile against God in their minds (Romans 8:7). Secondly, it anti-God to align oneself in partnership with the unsaved. No, this does not only apply to marriage. Unless you can point out where does the Bible indicate it only refers to marriage, this argument which is an attempt to reading into the Bible must be flushed out of one's system. It applies to all a situations where one needs to become involved with unbelievers on any actions.  2 Corinthians 6:14-18 warns very clearly:

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
So, what partnership does light have with darkness, righteousness with unrighteousness and godliness with ungodliness? NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely NONE!!!!!!!  Hence, the exhortation to be separate from the unsaved in their ways, and not even touch their evil ways, so that God will receive you and be with you (2 Corinthians 7:17-18). It is because the modern western church has become yoked with unbelievers in fighting evils, that God had left the church to its own weak, pathetic, devices which are earthly, fleshly and demonic (James 3:15). Such is what the modern church has become in arrogantly ignoring God, committing harlotry against God. It needs to be told, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4:4).
This is precisely what happens when the Bride of Christ commits spiritual harlotry by not fully trusting the the Most High and Perfect and Holy God, thinking she is wise in doing so and will gain more for herself. She is beaten, thumped and violently assaulted by a hostile, God-hating and church-hating world, which is only too happy to violently beat up and gouge out the eyes of the Bride of Christ as it would do to Jesus, if it could.
How the church should deal with perpetrators of evil and their victims
The modern church has sought after earthly and fleshly ways of dealing with perpetrators and evil and their victims. This is a tragic fruit of its desire for living with ease and comfort, rather than fight and expose evil with fervent zeal, no matter what the consequences. It is the bitter fruit of being seduced by the world in seeking to get rid of God, by insisting the church accepts its ways, especially its ways of thinking.
It is not because the church had rejected the teachings of God regarding moral issues. It it that is has been deceived into accept the world's teachings regarding moral issues and how to deal with them that is the issue. This is especially obvious in the way it deal with sex slavery, human trafficking, usury, prostitution, abortion and pornography. It has accepted that there is nothing wrong with regarding the consequences of such evils to be a grounds that makes evil evil. This is evil, demonic and fleshly - a doctrine of demons.
What makes evil evil, is that it violates God's Word, design or purposes. That is the only thing that makes evil evil. It is not that humans feel offended or hurt by something evil that makes evil evil. It is only because it offends God's Word, design or purpose that makes evil evil. God is the Sovereign of the Universe, and thus, only God is the legitimate Moral Lawmaker. Adding to it, or taking away from it violates His Word and His Purposes. It is a real tragedy that many in the modern church do not understand this, and accept human-made moral law , which is no moral law at all, alongside God's Moral Law. Human-made moral law is incompatible with God's Moral Law because every ounce of human flesh is hostile against God. Thus, every single human-made moral law, and the spirit behind it is evil, no matter how consistent the human-made moral law is with God's Moral Law.
For example, the feminists insist that sex slavery and pornography is wrong. It is true according to the Moral Law of God that they are wrong. However, the spirit behind the feminists who make up this moral law in their own eyes, is demonic, self-seeking and perverted. Their motive and spirit is a self-centred one, that thinks they things are wrong, only because they "harm" women, not because it offends God. If one tells them that these things are wrong because they offend God, they will suddenly change tune and argue that these things are wrong because it upsets them or because of its effects, but not because it is wrong per se, and are things that the human minds should not even conceive or understand. It is because the human mind is hostile against God that humans can even conceive of such things.
The church must get rid from its system all fleshly spirit of thinking in thinking about moral issues. It must guard its heart and mind.
In dealing with perpetrators, the Christian should seek justice and be merciful by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to perpetrators. Likewise, it should treat victims as God's treats victims with love and care. without being biased towards victims out of sympathy. It should treat sinners, whether perpetrators or victim as sinners, meaning that one should see them as people who needs the cure of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and preach it. The church should be ready to show mercy and care for all perpetrators and victims of evil.
Above all, it needs to remember that while we were still God's enemies, Christ died for us, and that without love, one is nothing. It needs to love about all, for love is the greatest. It is love that makes the true Church among the midst of the darkness of the world.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity [love], it profiteth me nothing.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity [love] never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.  When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity [love], these three; but the greatest of these is charity [love].
1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7). However, the Christian can most definitely yield to the temptations of mammon just as he can yield to the temptations of satan. This is what is means for a Christian to be under the spirit of mammon. The signs of a person being under the spirit of mammon are: The person does not understand the spirit of mammon. This is because he or she is blinded by it and therefore cannot see it. The person reacts whenever being confronted with being told that they are under the spirit of mammon, or being told that they may be under it. This is not the person themselves reacting, but the spirit of mammon reacting. The person is self-satisfied with the abundance that they have. This is especially the case with many Christians today. They are happy with having a family, a well-paying job, security

Two types of contentment

The world seeks contentment. It seeks to be contented in pursuit of all kinds of things, whether it be money, health, wealth, romance, sex, careers or family. It does not necessarily seek after riches to be content. However, that one does not seek after money as the first priority, but other things that are typically associated with good traditional values, such as family, does not in any way mean that one is content in the godly sense. By no means! A person can be a "conservative" and "religious" but just as earthly as the "liberal". There are two types of contentment: earthly contentment and godly contentment. Earthly contentment finds its fulfillment and satisfaction in things that are passing away, not necessarily money, but also things like family, education and children. Yes, that's right. Many professing American Christians think that they could never be under the spirit of mammon because they care for their families and love their families, a

The spirit behind Debt, the spirit of Mammon, seeks to Blind, Control, Enslave and Dominate by debt

Many people just cannot understand what usury is for what it is. Thus, in order for people to understand what exactly usury is, they must be made to understand debt first. Debt is not merely money to be repaid. It has power. Debt indeed is power, which comes from a source not from God: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).  One can discern that debt has a power behind it if one uses one's godly discernment. Debt brings spiritual bondage to a person, not merely financial bondage, but spiritual bondage. The real issue with debt for all people whether unsaved or saved is that it keeps people from fully serving God. It is a spiritual stronghold of mammon that panders to the flesh, to make a God-hater even more hostile against God, by feeding on his flesh to increase its appetite even more. It is also a spiritual stronghold
