We live in a society that places an emphasis of 'peace', which of course, to society means tolerance. Tolerance means to accept the beliefs, opinions or practices of others unquestionably and to not express disapproval or opposition. However, because tolerance is defined by society in the modern world, society is the one who believes it is entitled to define which beliefs and opinions can be expressed or held privately, and, more importantly which cannot. Since the world hates Christ, it hates the Gospel, and everything it stands for. That is why Christians are marginalised for their beliefs.
The world whose has whole range of viewpoints, loves to point out and expose their enemies for being wrong from their perspective, but whenever they are confronted with the Gospel, the world is united in its antichrist spirit. Jesus said to His followers that "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:18-19)
We are in a spiritual war. War. This very word makes many feel terribly uncomfortable, but that is what it is. Satan has blinded the unsaved such that they cannot receive the truth. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4). Thus, because the unsaved cannot receive the truth, they cannot understand it.

Satan uses the unregenerate godless people, who are his children (John 8:44) to carry out his purposes. His purposes are evil and wicked, intended to take people to Hell with him. Satan knows he has been defeated by Christ (Colossians 1:13), who is the Atoning Sacrifice for the sins of the world, he is still prowls around the world seeking to devour (1 Peter 5:8). He uses both the saved and unsaved. However, the unsaved are his children and willingly serve him, while the saved grieve when they fall into evil which serves him.
Satan's attacks on humanity are manifested in selfishness. He whispers in the ears of people to serve themselves rather than look to God. He has very cunning and uses all possible methods he can use to blind people. Satan's favourite devices is to cause conflict and blame within the human race. This way, people who are naturally self-serving, love to judge and blame other for the adversity that happen to them will be blinded to only their own interests. Such a method is effective on fallen humanity because they feel vulnerable and will continue to crave to their flesh, lust and pride. He mixes truth and error to pervert justice and righteousness, as he is the father of lies (John 8:44).
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:11-12).
